I am seeing more and more lists with extra late game to tech against Priest and the mirror.
Whether it’s Lorthemar, Zola, or even Denathrius; Priest can’t handle the deck teched like this. It’s not too surprising, they just gained two deck slots because Construct Quarter is now just bad.
I don’t know the percentage of games (no premium HSR) but it feels like the Blood DK numbers are going up.
I’ve been seeing more greedy priest and DK stuff. Starting to see ETC and Fizzle a lot more.
As a Priest, I feel like I have the advantage unless Blood DK can play double Morgraine. I think the Zola on that really makes a difference and really hurts.
Overall, Blood DK, if played correctly, will likely win that fight.
I mean I was talking about Blood DK running Rivendare. Stealing with Sylvanas did nothing tho last time I played as pries because I copies sylvanas on the spot with synchro and stole back Rivendare xD
Yeah the Rivendare plays favor the Priest imo. Priest can Drown those cards and gain the advantage. If your Rivendare gets stolen, you just copy it and kill it and then drown the other pieces later. Priest has the privilege of discovering kill cards while DK is a bit more limited.
But overall, DK puts out more pressure than Priest so Priest is almost always on the defensive.
DKs just have too much on offer so they can be greedy. They have so much control in terms of freeze and lifegain/steal that each package can discover their main spell for control (frost wrym and bloodboil and the lifesteal one, I forgot the name) and can just sit there with high card draw and high value control.
I can’t wait until they’re done gathering (they as blizzard) data on DKs and nerf them down a bit. Played three games in a row tonight putting the kids down and all three were blood control. He had 45 or 50 HP at one point, I think?
If there’s an arms race of greed, Priest will come out on top in the end
It’s a good thing that Blood DK is under pressure to evolve, though. I have read a lot of frustration against the deck on here and this should weaken its anti-aggro somewhat and make it a bit less polarising.
Nah, BDK is dropping quickly. HSR shows it as 2nd in d4-1, but now at 4th in high legend and legend. Performing even worse if we only use the last days worth of data.
Its losing steam it would appear, despite its popularity.
I normally just use construct quarter cause you pay for it once, you don’t need to pay for it on the same turn you play a horse, and it can’t be interacted with by the priest. It’s still probably good for this after the nerfs in this matchup because it still kills 2/4 of the horses unconditionally, the rush you can kill off a lot of the time since the priest often gets pressured to play the behemoth for heal, so after nerfs you only need to discover one other kill card.
horse problem when priest discover it from your deck and play legendary minion stole your origin card too then winn con lost…and priest clear alot better board + heal hero than DK / priest always discover or get random deathrattle minion card from deck your BEST card every time!!!/ or simple is get copy any minion on board multiple time
welcome in “rogue” priest meta
mech pala pure pala horse pala make hard life for DK too !
DH can be but mostly lose when is OTK you by immun +attak minion clear your whole board and kill your all hp in 1 turn
pirate rogue stole 5-10-15-20card from your deck gl stay alive “thx for shadowstep” even not so easy play vs astalor rogue this fight can be 50/50
aggro WL still problematic fight horse WL posible beat
vs hunter not lost a single time
vs druid not so much experience 1-2fight max " i lost feel to play druid too"
vs warrior same as druid not much deck run around
vs mirror who draw better
They play it in ETC as an alternate win condition once Sylvanus is played. They also play Theotar to grab opposing BDK win conditions in ETC. Either way it does see play and it’s a viable strategy.
On the outside chance they do steal it with Sylvanus they better killing it immediately because the opponent has a strong chance of stealing it right back.
I got smorked hard by a BDK that had the audacity to drop a Lor’Themar. From that moment on, it was ‘haha here’s a full board clear and now deal with my 10/10 drop’. I found that level of greed kind of immoral, not gonna lie.
How confident do you need to be in your snoozefest deck to put a 7 mana do nothing in it? It is gross, for real.
