It’s so broken that I still can’t wrap my head around how it got to be an epic, two rune spell.
It should have been the legendary spell for Blood DKs and three runes the way it plays now, lasting essentially forever.
All it needs is for it last one turn and hell, give it a bonus life steal if it kills any minions. It fits the theme and makes it so you can’t just board wipe AND be able to LOL at high minions giving you turns and turns of free life.
Tl;Dr - lifesteal is hands down the worst thing introduced in this game and DKs are a close second.

The lifesteal should be one time only, for sure.
I know people are going to complain that it doesn’t work if the opponent doesn’t play minions… well, neither does most of the game except for decks that get hard nerfs. (spell dh, no minion mage, etc.)

As long as aggro can completely flood the board by turn three or four, a turn five clear is completely valid

It wipes the board slowly and the “turns and turns” of free life are still net damage if the minion has more than 2 attack.
You have time to rebuild your board and only buys a bit of time vs most big minions

It’s situational most of the time. I remember playing DK when it first came out on WoW, and for the life of me I don’t remember Blood Boil having any kind of healing effect attached…maybe I’m remembering wrong. It was just a straight AoE aggro tool mostly used by tank DKs back then.
Crazy how we got a blood boil complaint thread. Ima be over here, still comparing unleash fel to this spell.
Maybe one day the complaints of these two spells will go away when other classes besides the two new ones are given lifesteal spells that hit all minions.
I want Armorsteal to be a keyword now.

Unleash fel is beyond broken. Yesterday I got killed by a dh playing 2x arcanist and 3x unleash fel for 15 dmg to the face while he cleared my board and renoed. XD

Oh brother, don’t worry, that shat is ridiculous too but at least it only last one turn but the combo of dropping TWO of them with that minion that gives +2 spell damage is RIDICULOUSLY OP
I still don’t understand why they haven’t changed unleash Fel to not hit face…
but it isnt a board wipe and high minions can out damage the healing DK doesnt have a card to change all attacks to 1 to prevent it

The ongoing lifesteal is the problem, not the board clear. There are lots of board clears that cost five or less. They don’t turn opponent minions into batteries.
If it’s a bunch of little weenie minions yes it is a board clear. If it’s big minions, it mitigates their damage until they die buying the DK time to recover from the aggro onslaught
People are just mad when games go longer than five turns. They want their dopamine hit and their free stuff right now

No, people are mad when they do nothing for five turns and then die because their deck has zero early game.
It’s a pile of manure that it continues to heal until the minions die. Saying otherwise is just being a Stan for one’s preferred play. There’s no good argument for how stupid toxic this card is.
Bare minimum it should be three runes and cost six or the lifesteal should be a one time deal.
it does heal …but unless your entire board is made of minions with 2 attack or less it cant heal more than you can damage

Have you not noticed that most of the token boards that this thing destroys have make minions with two health or less? Dead minions don’t typically do additional damage on the following turn and charge isn’t really a thing anymore.
There is a whole bunch of removal aimed to wipe two health minions in this game, and bloodboil is one of them. None of those heal.
Compare this effect to the more expensive blizzard and I would take this one every time.
which decks have only 2 health minoons on the board on turn 5?
