Blizzard should come clean: we added Bots

I mean it’s okay for me to accept the fact that Blizzard created and added Bots into the player base such that we are meeting so many bots, now even in the Diamond rank.

It’s a winning strategy: real players have less queuing time and higher rank.

Just make it official so everyone will play along.

Blizzard removed their own bots, actually.

The bots you are seeing are farming gold.

ACtually, the actiblizz bots (officially) were moved to the new player experience.

they did then they toldus they limited them to the apprentice ranks

you ve been here a long time imsurprisd you didnt read those patch notes back then

I never had this experience before this new season. My games are flooded with bots brining basic decks that run Yeti.
It was never like this before.
I climbed without meeting meta decks for the most part.

Blizzard banning bots is only temporary and really doesn’t solve the problem except for maybe a few days. Within day, all the accounts just make a new account and start botting again.

I don’t know what the resolution to this is other than doing something drastic to Arena drafting where the entire economy is killed off but that ruins the Arena for everyone else.

They kind of did that with this Arena Meta and the curated set. Drafts seem to have less variance between the god draft and the poo draft.

Definitely a slippery slope to mess with the economy. On one hand doing something such as giving the mode its own currency and cutting off gold completely thus the botters who farm it for Arena Draft selling, however, how do you initially implement it?

I think you could just say the exchange rate for current or Constructed gold (for the sake of the argument) to Arena gold is 1:1 and simply give people the option to flip it the first time they jump into the mode since the change, whether it’s day one or two years since. The biggest issue I can think of is the Tavern Pass. I don’t know much about coding, but would it be possible to track where the progress was made the most from rank to rank, so you could garner the currency you put the most effort into.

However, all this would do is take care of some of the botters, sure, but you’re basically saying, “Choose a mode and stick with it,” to a degree.

The idea I had, was, if Blizzard could implement a verification process, at the beginning of each game, but only during the tutorial phase of the game, where you would have to click all the signposts or whatever to confirm that your a real person, or something of that ilk, to help to get rid of the bots? If a human had to sit there to button click at the beginning, or end, of each game before starting the next, I would think it would help to at least reduce the numbers of them.

I know it would be an inconvenience, and may discourage new players, but give a message at the verification process along the lines of " We apologize for the inconvenience, however to help combat botting, and improve your playing experience, we have implemented this process during the tutorial. Once you have completed it and begin the game at bronze 10, this process shall cease."

I’m not familiar enough with these programs though to know how simple it would be, to add an autoclicker of some kind to work around someone having to sit and verify they’re human.

Played since classic and i have never witnessed a bot in the game, so i think people are just making stuff up

There you have it: classic had no bots! It was another scam!

Bring back classic!

If you think Bots are bad here don’t even try the APAC server. They had 42.5K legend players compared to Americas server at 11K. It’s nothing but Bot’s on that server.

You probably didn’t even know you were playing a bot.

The fact that Blizzard has stated they’ve banned literally hundreds of thousands of accounts for botting and there is a report function specifically for botting is all the proof you need.

Or the fact that people have streamed their accounts botting to brag how good their bot is.

Or the fact you can go online and actually purchase a botting program.

Or the fact that botting is proven statistically in that an account is active 24/7 for weeks on end reaching levels of stats no human can ever reach.

But yeah, everyone is just making it up including Blizzard themselves.

I’v never seen a bot so i don’t believe they exist

Ever see oxygen, sub atomic particles, or dark matter?

Better not look too closely at stuff around your house, eat, or something you take a ride in, because…built by bots.

They’re real, and they’re in the game.

And post on the forum.

the only way to get rid of bots is not give out gold for time played or games won. that means switching to giving players gold on a flat rate system.
(my idea would be 3000-3500 a month and then add a gold boosters into the battle pass which give you more gold)

that would probably start a riot… but its either that or deal with the bots.

I never said I am against Bot.
In fact, I welcome them. They make real players climb easier.
