So an update.
I did re-contact support.
First, i told them that i did as instructed, posting my issues here.
Next, i said that while i am happy to help the team by reporting a bug to be fixed in the future, this does nothing to address my issue, which is the wasted duel run, and most importantly, the fact that i am now stuck with a duel run that i did not want, and what’s worse, a run i cannot retire or play. I am locked out of my favorite game mode, with time running out before its gone forever, not because of anything i did, but because of a bug with the game.
It should not be too much to ask by requesting a refund or a free tavern ticket that lets my next run be free. They give them out for other issues. But, if it is too much, atleast tell me how i can get rid of or play this run, so i can move on.
The response i got was, as far as i an concerned, insulting.
They said that they understand that i want a refund because of my wasted time and effort. But no.
And then they said my issue was likely a result of using a deck code that features cards no longer allowed in the format. A common issue solved by removing the deck and restarting multiple times.
So clearly they did not bother to actually read my ticket because i fully explained how i got to this point.
There was no deck code used whatsoever. I had zero control in any of it. And i can’t replace the list with a different one, or remove it, because it has treasures from my past run, and the one i tried to start. I can remove all except for joras, from the casual run, the corrupt treasure from my attempyed current run, which makes it impossible to finalize a list. Ans restarting simply brings the 37 card list from my casual run back.
Oh, and as the cherry on top.
They reminded me that i needed to report the issue here, as quicklu as possible, so that it can be fixed in a future patch.
So what, have i just been talking to myself? These responses are either automated, which is bad enough, or they are simply not reading my messages, which is worse.

I’ve typed this all so many times and keep getting sent to someone else to do it all over again, and I’m tired of it lol so I’m just copy pasting from my support ticket so apologies if it isnt completely coherent.

Duels is my favorite mode, and as it’s being killed by you guys next month every run matters. I purchased a heroic run today, but it glitched, no matter which hero I picked, it acted as if I had chosen illucia. I tried restarting the client, playing other modes hoping it’d reset, even restarted my phone, none of which changed anything. Hoping it was just visual I chose vanndar as I wanted, and just picked the options where the correct choice for him would have been. But I simply ended up with an illucia run with the void hero power and the corrupt treasure. I didn’t want to run the strong illucia, I certainly don’t want to run an awful version as I need wins to play more runs. I would like to findout how to get a refund please or a voucher for another run or something please

Attached is screenshots showing that it is bugged. Right before this all happened I was playing a casual illucia run, and retired it, and then I went to do a tavern brawl to finish the last quest I needed to be able to afford my heroic run. Well as it was just about to start the game, it crashed, when I opened the client again it reconnected me to my game, but instead of tavern brawl, it was another match of the casual duel I had just retired. And after, I purchased my heroic duel run, and the rest is explained in the first message of my ticket.
The deck that I had built during the casual run is the one it is trying to load up now, and I can’t remove the treasure from it, meaning it’s impossible now for me to build a deck to play, as it ends up 16 cards, even if I try 15 it still won’t let me actually start the run.
Once again, I have no interest whatsoever in doing a heroic run with Illucia. Every hero I pick w9uld show as her, I chose Vanndar, I wanted battle tactics and the rogue treasure. So I am requesting a refund, or a ticket that gives a free run, or even just reset this one. Considering it took multiple quests and days to be able to afford the run, and if I were to be forced to use the current run and that’s it, I won’t be able to do another heroic duel for a week or more probably, and as you guys are removing duels, my by far favorite game mode, and the only reason I’ve stuck with hearthstone all these years, and spent as much money as I have, every day counts. Ever run. Which is also why I am hoping someone can get to my ticket soon, as I can’t do anything at all duel related until it’s fixed.
Well since they are saved on my phone and not uploaded to any websites i guess i won’t post any screen shots unless requested.
