?? hitting oracle instead of shaman asteroid generation itself
?? immediately shutting down sonya
?? swiftly and promptly taking care of shaffar and letting him rot for however long in limbo “because of hunter”
?? no neutral mothership, protoss cards clearly costing too much mana for rogue only
Stop policing the rogue class if you arent obviously policing others as well. imagine if everything was cleaned up instead of only rogue having the microscope on it…
unfortunately for you all, if mech rogue was big and if it ran zilliax then we would see immediate action taken against zilliax. if hydration station was a rogue card? hotfix within the hour lol.
pre starcraft miniset shamans, paladins, druids, they were all allowed to run aimless circles around everyone. post starcraft set they just do it now even better and even more differently. No comment on zerg dk.
god have mercy what is next? 4 mana 1/1 quick pick weapon draw a card after your turn ends after you attack only an enemy minion twice therefore somehow needing to buff the durablity.
How close are we to 1 mana shadowstep? 6 mana prep that works on minions too? breakdance summons 1/1 with rush no matter the minion?
it really did not have to be such a heavily monitored gimmick class. it didnt have to be that at all. The icing on the cake is the discourse around roguestone and how rogue is so op. lol.
oracle needed to be nerfed and i am actually disappointed that it took so long to nerf it.
sonya was not immediately shut down. she came in Whizbang’s Workshop and dogded nerfs way to long and got cards nerfed around it.
shaffar hunter was a big problem and thats not blizz being against rouge. i would argue that the fact that shaffar was not nerfed when it had a rouge deck is a sign of the reverse.
I do agree that its weird that rouge did not get a huge minion that cost 10+ like the rest of the protoss classes got.
Blizz is horrible at everything that can affect a meta. They are slow at nerfing problem cards, they often try to nerf around problem cards in a way that either create a new problem or just kick the can down the road until a players find a new way to create problems, they buff cards in a way that create problems later and has shown to be extremely shortsighted when it comes to card that is soon coming.
I do belive that if Hydration Station was a rouge card it would have been nerfed in the last balance patch, not when it was nerfed as a druid card.
To be honest i am hoping that shadowstep is rotating next rotation. It has been a problem card for way to long. I remember Pandaren Importer was nerfed to 3 mana because of its interaction with shadowstep.
That’s not really true. It might have been the best performer at times but that’s circumstantial. A deck that can be targeted and shut down as easily as this one cannot be considered the strongest deck. In any case weapon rogue is an aberration they should give up on. Rogue players don’t like it either.
DH exists now and attacking with your hero should be a big DH identity by now, not rogue’s.
I don’t think that’s happening thankfully but if it ever does it’d be the last slap in the face of rogue players they could ever do.
Shadowstep is core to rogue’s identity. Calling for its nerf I could understand, but this constant talk about taking it out of the core set is pure spite for the class.
True, I meant to say “the best deck to grind with” (and by “best deck to grind with” I mean its rank per unit time is the highest), and I’d stand by it even now
Anyway, this was one of those threads where exaggarating a bit goes a long way in proving the point, which was that Rogue will pretty much always have a competitive deck (and by competitive I mean it can bring you to top 2k or better)
EDIT: I just won a game against a DK who pulled out the freeze weapon turn 6 and emoted me (threat). You bet I spammed every emote I could before he conceded while I was BM-ing him in return for his arrogance, and that’s not something I would do ever since I first hit top 200, because doint that in such high ranks is ultimate disrespect and says a lot about your mental state, knowing that most games are resolved purely due to luck in that elo.
