Can we get some type of balance? If Elementals are in the lobby, 6/8 are going for it, 2/8 are throwing.
Im the 9th playing poison and leeroys to farm the sheep
Good luck, doesn’t work. Not enough scam to scam.
Thanx. Id rather be lucky than good any day.
how tf does anyone make things like that work? i need a constant two spots on my board open to cycle? i think im missing something in this game mode
edit: when im down to the last opponent and im playing undead and they all summon deathrattles its like i have 3 minions on board (i have to) and their boards full
I dont know why you would need 2 slots open to use for cycling minions. But if you do have to have 2 open might I suggest : my personal tactic when empty board slots are at a premium for elementals is to aim for when you make a triple, to utilize the empty slot it will take with everything else you can cycle thru that turn. And when you can do no more things that turn you play that triple finally and use your triple reward spell. At least with this tactic you can maintain strictly only 1 slot is the cycle slot and so if your scenario that demands 2 cycle slots are needed when you dont have to sacrifice something but can merely just time it the best way you can.
It’s so tough because when i’m fishing for the 3rd minion to make it golden it will obviously simply never come (classic highroll hearthstone) and then i’m just stuck with minus 2 maximum minions or minus 1
Its such a damn slot machine but i understand because out of all the amount of players in 1 lobby onw will roll higher than everyone and its been me before so it can happen to anyone
I know what u mean tho Crame its a very fun game mode and as a top 100 legend player in standard gameplay i just feel like im always doing something wrong in this gamemode
Grats for the ability to say you are good at any game at all. lol. Thats never been something I’ve ever been able to say. I always used to think I was just gifted at being uncommonly bad at games. Like in a universe where I tried to monetize on streaming myself playing games, the thing about me and why I’d be a “success” would be because my thing is that I am so uniquely bad games that I can die/lose in totally unique and unexpected or should be impossible ways. lol.
At least that’s how I’ve viewed the perpetual uphill battle all games have always been for me. (Video Game AI on the easiest difficulty is always too difficult for me to defeat, example: StarCraft, StarCraft Broodwar, StarCraft 2, Warcraft 3, Hearthstone single player modes, NES Mario titles, etc.) So much so that once I get a good distance into the games I often am in need of in game codes like how the RTS titles from Blizzard put in, or seek out hardware that injects them like Game Genies and so on. Because the “just get better” idea like I’m some Saiyan from outer space has never been something that I have been able to do. Mainly because all the things I’d need are not things I can do. (memorize things, remember how I just died moments ago in order to be able to avoid it when I respawn, having an encyclopedic knowledge of what a game can possibly throw at me and a 2nd encyclopedic knowledge to be able to anticipate correctly) and so on.
However I recently learned I suffer from a type of color blindness. No clue I even had it until in Cata Classic raids where I couldnt see certain boss fight mechanics at all because the game had them rendered in just the worst combinations of color shades that made things invisible to me. So now I’m looking back at all the 30+ years of having such an uphill difficulty on any and all games and I wonder how much of that hill was due to these eyes of mine. lol.
Oh my other recent change in tactics while i play elementals, is that I no longer put down 2 of those early board buffers, the yellow elementals that gives a random ele stats after you play an ele. Mainly because I might encounter those 2 yellow eles and have them on my board by turn 3 and I can reach turn 15 and never encounter that 3rd copy to triple it. Ive adopted juse holding it’s 2nd copy in hand until I come across its third copy or if I get so far into match where i ought to replace it with those t5 and t6 end of turn buffing eles instead. The only times I genuinely try to have 2 normal copies on the board is either the divine shield windfury ele, or the deathrattle one that either grant tavern stats or yield random eles to my hand.
It was Developer #3.
I don’t even like Elementals. It relies too heavily on the tier 6 minion Unleashed Mana Surge, and whoever gets giga-ultra-lucky and pulls an arcane behemoth for no god damn reason. It’s like the difference between getting and not getting a Shimmerwing Moth on Beasts.
Would rather play a different tribe to be honest.
I just wish for once I’d be offered the trinket that add x attack when a minion attacks. and it keeps improving. best ive gotten is getting 2x of the same avenge trinket of avenge(2) give your minions +4/+4. Only was able to snag a single moth to utilize that tho. I find the deer and the tiger just arent as reliable to scale the moth’s beetle buffs as the original build of all the other not t6 reliant minions.
As for Elementals, best one Ive come across so far was simply the felemental paired with rylok and baron. never encountered any t5 or t6 elementals still.
That’s a greater trinket for beasts only. You’ll never get it if you don’t play beasts.
I’m not kidding when I say the strategy for Elementals is to ignore just about everything and RUSH AT FULL SPEED to tier 6. This means turn 3 you’ll sell your tier 1 minion and upgrade tavern to tier 3. Then next turn, tier 4. THEN you can build a board for a turn or two before gunning it for tier 6.
If you don’t, the rest of the lobby will buy all the tier 5/6 elementals before you do.
