so your suggestion is that cleave should damage 5 minions? that will certainly be fair, right? they already get double stats which by itself benefits cleve alot
mega windfury minions also get double stats plus double the effect so do deathrattles, my argument is more about nerfing megawindfury speciicailly the one in elementals edit:maybe pirates too yeah lets just delete them all
And then there’s also stuff like Golden Vulgar Homunculus not halving the damage it deals to yourself.
But probably the most disappointing Golden is Nadina: if anything it’s worse than regular since there’s a slightly higher chance it survives its own attack and screws over your Dragons. Would’ve been nice if it granted them Reborn in addition to DS (wouldn’t break them, as they reborn with base stats).
For all intents and purposes, yes it does. I’ve murdered full boards of endgame minions with a single mega-windfury elemental. I’m not saying you don’t play much, but maybe you’re just not that good with seeing a really powerful mega-windfury.
My favorite combination of big stats and minion capability. The only thing they put in to counter just that one minion was that stupid Tier 6 that eats 4 attacks in a row as long as you have a taunt and they don’t have Zap.
Tripling is an example of a good idea with poor execution. The modis operandi (MO) for this company.
Tripling for:
General Minions: double stat minions (this is not counting minion abilities)
Tokens: You get a double stat golden token (golden is important for only 1 minion, the T4 pirate that gains stats based on golden minion count)
Windfury: attack, if you live, attack again; Mega-Windfury: attack, if you live repeat, repeat, repeat.
Suggested change: Attack, if you live attack again, if you live repeat attacks on one of the two minions, if you live, repeat attack on one of the two minions
OR: get rid of mega-windfury in BGs
Nadina: Nadina is lame, but the golden version is why they probably created that new stupid T6 legendary. I don’t have a suggestion for this one.
Humunculus: Should be no damage instead of 2, which technically should be 4. Suggestion is to make this no damage.
There are probably a few more, but these changes/suggestions will likely never get looked at.
so you high rolled with nomi and got very big elemental, therefore enabling buff-hydra strats to insantiy is a good idea? amalgam + hydra buff/lightfang strats were insanely strong at the start of battlegrounds
Oh I forgot to mention, I don’t play BGs that often, and I got the mega-windfury elemental at least once a week. BGs aren’t hard, but to your only good point, yes, I likely high-rolled that one minion by picking the right minions to buff it.
If you don’t play BG much and aren’t an expert by your own admission, why are you here trying to tell people what is right and wrong in the mode and contradicting their assertions?
Mega windfury isn’t a problem and doesn’t murder boards unless someone doesn’t know how to play against it. Good players are assuming your elemental board has at least two major features, a huge taunt and mega-windfury, and are playing to counter it.
If it isn’t the pot trying to call the kettle black!
Here trying to tell people what’s right and wrong? You know, for the most part, you’re tolerable, but this is ignorance, incompetence and otherwise self-righteousness of a post is ridonk, sir or ma’am. RIDONK.
I’m sorry if you’re having a bad day, or if you truly believe being an expert is requirement for posting. I get that you’re confused and believe you’re an expert in Hearthstone, or even a single format/mode. Laughable, very laughable.
Now, to clarify what you read and what you think… scratch that, I can only clarify one (and this really shouldn’t need to be said to a normal, rational human being, but for morons, it’s a requirement): My posts are my opinion and perspective from my observations and analysis. Whether I disagree or not is irrelevant, since, you know, I get to. Part of why I served for 20 years was for that very pleasure (and of course to allow morons to post self-righteous monologues of ineptitude and drivel). If you would like to have a dialogue about the hows and whys, I’m more than happy to entertain alternative perspectives. Heck, I may even change my own opinion.
Regardless of whether or not I’m an expert on Hearthstone, my opinions and posts will still flow.
Besides showing me your rudeness, how about some credentials that show you’re an expert. Do you get paid to play BGs? Have you been peer reviewed? Did you publish a leading paper or book on how to be an expert at your level? Tell me more .
If there was an award for the poster who talks out their behind the most I would recommend you. I usually just laugh you off and move on, but telling people they aren’t good at a game mode you admittedly don’t play much is the only ridiculous thing here.
You literally typed this:
You made a judgement about the other player’s skills, which you apparently based on your experience in the mode:
You also put down that same player in your previous post:
So let’s recap here:
You don’t really play the mode much, but you’re qualified to tell everyone how to play it and tell the other poster they don’t know how to do elemental well?
I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but I I would suggest I know considerably more about it than you do.
I can start by stating I have won first place with every hero currently available in the game mode just since the reward track dropped.
I have three achievements left, total, to complete every BG achievement currently in the game.
I have 2k top four finishes and 600+ first place wins, and have eliminated over 3k players in my lobbies.
But again, I have no idea what I am talking about and my English isn’t good.
You must have been looking in a mirror.
Edit: And I didn’t even mention that you were wrong about what Peverin said.
He was talking about cleave - which if the golden version expanded to five minions would strike almost all your board in one strike. Windfurry takes multiple hits and is countered with poison because of it.
I get it, I get it, I get it. You’re trying to low key brag and you thought by targeting me, you’d get more… something? “Let’s see how that works out for them, Cotton”.
Your argument style is very rough and lacks competent dialogue components. For example you claim that “I claim” by making a judgement that “I made a judgement”. The pot & kettle phrase is obviously over your head.
Look, buddy. You made a try. Good for you. We’re all proud (or at least, I am).
Your grasp of basic dialogue, debate, and communication was entertaining. I appreciate your feedback and hope things work out for you.
