N’zoth’s fish picked up the “give Venomous to another Murloc” but when it died, I had a two murlocs on board, one with venomous, one without. It should have spread to the non-venomous one, but it did not. This may be a bug because it’s a beast, or it may have enchanted the already venomous one?
If you want to have a GM look at the game record it’s the one on this account that ended around midnight EST with N’zoth, where I finished 6th (literally due to that bug, lol).
if i had to guess, the one with venom in the one that got the buff
I’m pretty sure that this is not something Blizzard is capable of doing. I don’t believe they keep detailed logs of player actions during a game. This is why replays and recordings are so important
Why?
Why must this be so?
Is there some rule that says when choosing a minion to receive a buff, priority is given to minions that do not already have that buff?
Is that an actual stated rule? If so, I’m not aware of it.
I understand why you would WANT it to happen that way. But it’s not an actual requirement, as far as I am aware.
Because that’s been a thing in battlegrounds since Beta. So…yeah. Just a thing. Poison/venomous/divine shields? Always picks whatever doesn’t already have it. It wouldn’t be a bug otherwise.

You’re actually only half right on that sentence
Divine shield was able to target minions that actually had divine shield in the beta and for some time (but since the beta has been very long it’s been ages sinc ethey changed that)
However I agree that I’ve never seen the venomous deathrattle go on an already venomous murloc when others didn’t have it, I assume they stayed consistent on those mechanics for once
But just as recurring nightmare doesn’t work when copied we could assume that interaction is just bugged when coming from a beast.
