I wonder if you guys know any resources about the minions pool in BG. Does removal effects such as demon’s ones takes a minion from the pool ? Does the discoveries affect it too ? What about the spells, the hero powers…

Basic information about the shared pool, number of copies, etc.
Removal effects don’t remove the unit from the pool, discover remove from the pool.
Just to add. When a player is eliminated their minions go back into the pool as well.
WUT. What a scammy description on the cards, it should say “Discover FROM THE TAVERN”.
Oh we have to assume it? Why would we assume it DEVS?
Well there is a hard limit told to us in the tips prior to loading the match about the tier 6 minions, outside of a hero power that duplicates things in the tavern or spells that give you a plain copy of random minion from your last opponent’s warband, or Rafaam’s hero ability to get a copy of the first thing that dies against them in combat, etc… discovering from the tavern tier above your current one would be pulling from the hard limit of those t6 minions if that is the tier you are able to discover from.
I dont see how anyone would have thought you werent pulling from the tavern pool when doing so. Only the niche cases that are akin to what I outlined above are how one can get around those finite numbers of a minion being in the pool or not.
Alright and how does it work for the turns. If I pick a minion does it instantly removes it from the pool (so you have to play an roll faster than your opponents) or does it wait for next turn to remove it
Wut. In Hearthstone when you make a deck and discover you don’t discover from the deck. If it discovers from the deck it has the full phrase “discover FROM YOUR DECK”.
Here the default is “from the tavern” apparently. It’s not bad per se but extremely counter-intuitive when it’s a format in the hearthstone family.
But it doesn’t do that. It can discover more copies than are in the tavern, and discovered cards that are kept reduce the tavern. It’s not actually part of the tavern pool until after the discover. You can force more copies of a minion through several mechanics, most common during buddies meta.
Yes, it removes it as soon as you hold it subsequent rolls for everyone will have one less of the minion.
There’s a small amount of this, but knowing how large the pool of minions is means in practice this advantage is minor.
That part is not in the source you linked.
Do you assume it’s true?
By the time you are actually starting to roll in the pool for specific minions(which you shouldn’t be doing anyway". The pool is so large that it’s not even a real factor.
Read the very first sentence. By that definition a discover is from a limited pool of cards and as we know a discover takes that card out of the pool in the regular HS game unless it says it’s a copy or it’s from a pool outside of your deck.
What are you on about. Discover (the plain version) absolutely does not remove a card from regular Hearthstone.
It removes a card from the deck if the Discover adds the special phrase “from your deck”.
When you discover from YOUR deck you remove the card from YOUR deck. Think of the BG minion pool as YOUR deck. Does that make more sense? “From your deck” is the default state of discover. Creating copies from your deck is the special case effect of discover.
I know. I was saying it’s counter-intuitive in BGs if you don’t know it in advance, because in regular Hearthstone Discover (plain) does not remove cards from any deck (it generates cards out of thin air).
True if it’s a general discover not tied to the deck it’s a large pool that isn’t static. I wasn’t debating if it was confusing just answering your question asking how we know this works as it does. Could it be explained better? Probably but i would assume they just leave it up to the players to discover it as they play or in this case ask the question on a forum to knowledgeable players.
It should be spammed at the tooltips of the loading screen if they wanted it this way. This is Hearthstone. In typical Hearthstone Discover is by default “generate out of thin air”.
