Beetle build is in a bad state

I finally saw the nerfs to the beetle build in the BG’s…yeah no wonder I went from Hero to Zero with that deck. The nerfs bacisally turned it into the worst build out there, I mean even murloc is better now. By time I even get the T5 cards to start the roll…the other decks (naga, pirate, quill, dragon, undead) are all way higher than my 3/3 or 4/4 beetles. How could the balance be so bad, did they not realize cutting the bonus effetcs in half would be significant? Did they even test the nerfs? and this is with the heros that give taunt+, deathrattle and reborn…it’s just in a horrible state. Now it was def op when it came out but how could they make it sooooo bad

I’ve seen high rolls win with them still but very rarely and usually only with greybough. I used to think awwsw RIP when i saw beetles, but now I just think awww bless their heart.

Murlocs aren’t terrible? You need brann and drak to really unlock them.

For as many seasons as BG has been around I am surprised at the design teams decisions though. I don’t understand the lack of foresight or prerelease testing or whatever it is.

It’s an okay mid build but you want to move off of it by end game to a traditional beast build unless you somehow get the high roll of high rolls and get the Macaw, Rylak, Beetle, Titus at the same time by turn 8 at the latest.

Even racing to 6 and getting Goldrinn + Hawkstrider is better scaling then playing any of the beetle buff cards in most cases.

It’s just terrible, because it’s extremely hard to buff them.

Play an overtuned tribe of the season like Elementals.
