I was playing heartstone against JbMystified#3977 and when it came time for my win/his loss, he somehow completely stopped any timers and it has been on his turn for the past 30 mins. this is rediculous, I finally get wins and MFers have to cheat me out of it?? The game is not disconnected in any way, shape, or form, i can still talk to players in my list and emote, he emoted back a few times. So i’ve been sitting here, endlessly stuck on his turn since 12:25am CST.
Don’t post other players BattleNet tags on the forum. That’s against the rules.

You were still disconnected
Messages and emotes go directly from player to player, while everything “game” related has to go to the game’s server first then back to the other player
When you get a server DC you can still emote and talk to other players
The pinned post of this forum used to have a good diagram of how it works but it looks like the image is no longer available

Yes it is.
The game client maintains several different connections:
- To the game server for gameplay
- To your opponent for emotes and mouseover actions
- To battle.net for social interactions like chat and friend requests
- Etc etc etc.
There is a bug in the client where it can lose only the first connection but not know it, and it waits forever for a signal from the server.
