Battlegrounds Won but took Second

Playing battlegrounds today as A.F. Kay. At the end it showed three of us left, myself, The Great Akazamzarak and Shudderwock. I fought the last three battles against The Great Akazamzarak despite the fact that Shudderwock was still alive. After defeating The Great Akazamzarak the third time it showed me as taking second place, despite winning and still having 1 health left.

I expect the player playing Shudderwock had either died already or had quit, and in either instance the server did not register him as defeated. Since he had more health than I did when I won the last battle but he really wasn’t in play anymore, the match ended with me being the only player left…but not winning.

Somewhere in there the server knew he was dead and also thought he was still alive.

Update: And it just happened again. This time I got credit for first place because I had more health left than the ‘ghost’.

Same thing happened to me again today, had already mentioned it a few weeks ago.

Same thing just happened to me as well, 3 rounds against the lich king with 3 people left, killed the lich king and got 2nd place without even facing the other player. Not sure I would of won, but had a really nice board to try (did 39 damage to the LK)

The same thing just happened to me, in two games in a row. In total it has happened to me three times. What I regret the most are the achievements that I did not complete because of the bug. Hopefully Blizzard will reward this error in some way.

Not only did something like this happen to me just now, but I defeated Alakir, but he was still alive and for the rest of the game it said he fought me and took 22 damage every round

Same thing, finished 2nd as Nozdormu after defeating the 3rd place, but the person who was 1st on the ladder didn’t play since like round 3, that player sat at the same HP since the beginning of the game and I never met them, after defeating 3rd place I just got the message that I’m 2nd and the game ended. Not sure if this is an exploit or some server-side error?
