Could we please have a serious discussion about an increase in turn time limit in Battlegrounds after Turn 8? Late round turn times have been an issue all along with Elemental or Pirate builds, but I’m finding myself getting timed out on multiple turns now with the Quillboar additions.
There is also a drastic difference in turn time depending on what build your opponent is playing. It shouldn’t be the optimal play to force close Hearthstone and reload the game, because your opponents beast team has 45 seconds of combat animations. Can we at least compromise by adding a skip battle button?!?

For those that don’t know, as soon as BG animations start, close the client and reopen. The actual fight is purely there for you to figure out how the algorithm determined who won. This will allow you to skip the animation and go straight to the tavern in order have longer turns. This is basically all we can do, man.
Oh I am aware, it’s kind of the reason for the post. I have this idealistic hope that someday Blizzard will notice and maybe fix the issue in the upcoming patch. It can’t be hard to add a skip battle button at the start of every round of animation. The results of the battle are calculated as soon as your turn ends so skipping the animation has no impact on the outcome.

Yeah, skipping battle would be a pretty good feature indeed. Specially against scam builds and lategame mechs which take forever with all the respawn animations. There’s another thing you can do by following these steps:
-
Windows Key + r, type “%localappdata%\Blizzard\Hearthstone”, add these two lines in options.txt:
-
targetframerate=144
-
vsync=0
This will significantly speed up the animations, which helps out in the early game when it’s not worth skipping the battles.
