The two initial unlocks of the “Thorim’s Thunder” strike effect in Battlegrounds are grayed out and cannot be selected. There’s also an extra “blank” strike present that also cannot be interacted with.
This issue occurs while playing on on my Galaxy Z Fold 4 (Android 14, One UI 6.0) with Hearthstone version 28.4.192896
My collection also shows that I am missing the rare and epic version of the Thorim’s Thunder strike despite meaning simultaneously have had earned and own the higher level Legendary version of said strike.
Thank you for the clarification. I also have the legendary version of this strike unlocked and favorited but cannot interact with the lower two towers of the strike.
The other “blank” strike that was present before is now gone as well. This was probably the Birthday Ball strike that was recently added to the shop.
Any chance this bug is going to be fixed this millenia? It’s been months and months. More and more cosmetics are sold, and collection management is a MESS. Plus those are literally missing items we paid for. I know technically we got access to the “superior” version, but still. And in the chance someone that can forward those things to the team actually reads those threads, being able to easily filter missing portraits for BG’s should be something to be looked into.

They found the ultimate solution: Just remove the two unavailable versions altogether, they now do not appear even if you search for them by “missing”.
And no, it is not a conscious design choice to only have the rarest version available because other finishers have all their versions available as normal. All other problems I mentioned are still present as well…
IMPORTANT EDIT: I actually got a response from RidiculousHat on Reddit, and seems like we were all wrong about the rare and epic strikes. They were NEVER available, as one can also see in the Season 5 BG announcement, only the legendary version was. My remembering using those was apparently old age or me losing it. So this issue has its answer, now let’s pray for better BG cosmetic collection manager.
