Just had a Whitemane taunt my Warpwing, which was next to a Persistent Poet. Not only did the Warpwing keep the taunt, but it took double damage from then on as well. Persistent Poet says “your enchantments from combat”, not all of them. The debuff from a Transmuted Bramblewitch isn’t made permanent by a Poet, so why is Whitemane’s?
