Battlegrounds: Murlocs

They have way too many win conditions. Murlocs tend to win a disproportionate number of the lobbies they’re in with like 3 different very strong paths for win conditions: Venom spam, from hand, and big stat board.

It’s the only tier s tribe right now.
Funnily enough, their early game minions are some of the worst minions in the game.

Nah, impossible, venom is bad compared to poison, so clearly murlocs are trash.

They dont have poison,

they do have scourfin, bassgil, operatic belcher, bream counter and choral mrrrgl.

so you they can keep a card in Hand that gain stats from cards played, inflates stats of cards in hand and gets played on deathrattle, oh and bounce that venomous to other murlocs.

This is true.

but that’s a scrotie level conclusion drawn from irrelevant information.

Oh they know, they just want to be a troll.

Maybe someone will come and make up a statistical analysis that shows how much better their post is than mine based on the number of murlocs found in caverns of time, but I’m pretty sure today is a busy day for uber so it might be a while.

I suspect this is hyperbole. In case I am mistaken though, no, murlocs are not trash. They are literally God tier right now. The only tier S tribe.
Not the early game ones. You don’t want to use any of those. It’s the tier 4+ ones you want to start to transition to if you’re wanting to win a lobby. The venom is nice , but the real stars are murky, murk eye, Brann and bassgill, the latter enables you to cheat out up to an entirely new board. No other tribe can do this.

Depends on the lobby and especially the anomaly. Beasts are top tier, above murlocs, imo because it doesn’t take a lot to get them online because the majority of key cards are found as early as tier 4, whereas murlocs get their end game builds arguably at tier 5.

However, once they are online, they are definitely at the top, just takes more luck than Beasts.

You’re absolutely right. Beasts are top tier. Tier 1 currently alongside menagarie.
Beasts are so strong early. If you find a slamma early you can pivot to beasts and start scamming your opponents with random crap like extra slamma that you never had in the first place . It’s dangerously overpowered early and mid game. Very strong late game too! Requires little set up, just start banana scamming and win!

I got my tier evaluations from Jeef. The worlds best player, number 1 on both EU snd NA. Winner of lobby legends. First player to hit 15, 16, and 17 k mmr. He has a very good YouTube channel that has deep dives on his game play and strats, as well as stuff like tiers. Check him out.
I’m hoping with some guidance from his channel, next season I won’t be an 8 k Andy!

Well, its just a jab at how Neon went on a little crusade about how garbage Venomous is in comparison to Poisonous. The hyperbole part is that since Murlocs are the primary Venom users, Neon had some sort of belief that it was a nerf to Murlocs, and that Murlocs are trash because of it.

The truth is that as good as poison and venom are, it has very little to do with how good Murlocs are, both before and after that change.

The original iterations of venomous were bad, though. I would have agreed that venomous was a nerf to the tribe on its release, when only considering the previous iterations of the tribe.

The current murloc tribe is a hot mess of power creep, which is frequently exploited in myriad ways by other tribes, making venomous less relevant generally. It is not an apples to apples comparison in a situation where you can bring additional murlocs to the board and you can apply reborn to venomous minions.
