The lich King’s hero power in battlegrounds gives your rightmost minion reborn. When giving a mech reborn, they don’t seem to be reborn with any magnetic effects, though. I just played a game where I attached an annoy-o-module and a replicating menace to a shielded minibot while playing The Lich King. When the shielded minibot died, it came back without any magnetic effects. Is this intentional or is this bugged?
I think it’s following normal HS game rules: when a minion with Reborn dies in a normal Hearthstone game, it usually doesn’t keep extra buffs.
You might be better served putting a Ghast Coiler, Sneed’s, Kangor apprentice or any other deathrattles on the far right to utilize his power fully.
Yes or just something you don’t want it to die like mama bear.
It’s working as intended
The only exception to the basic rule of resurrections (base minion is brought back) I can think of is Kangor’s Endless Army:
Even Kangor’s Apprentice sticks with the basic rule.
You should focus the hero power on big deathrattle minions, like sneeds old shredder.
Sneed’s is quite bad though. The average of legendary minions is only ~5/6.
Well better than highmane’s 4/4, but that one is T5 not T6.
Ghastcoiler would be MVP for lich king. It’s deathrattles is ~6/6 x2 on average. Not to mention that you would generally get ~1 beast (8/20) and 1 mech (7/20) on average, so it goes well with various synergies too (although I guess nothing would be left on board to synergise with, unless you taunted the ghastcoiler, but that would be very risky, since you would need to have only 5 minions by the time it dies or you would lose the reborn).
P.S. It’s a bit annoying that deathrattle has priority over reborn (yeah, anyone playing lich king - keep that in mind when you plan your turn with hero power). So putting arthas hero power on something like rat pack is pretty pointless, since quite often you would just get the rats and no space left for a new pack… Also, golden ghastcoiler (4 deathrattle units) would often end up not reborn either…
Yes it’s intended. I like to have it on mama bear for example. With other targets you might have to make a compromise and not put something all the way to the right that you would normally put. For example junkbot is probably not great with the reborn.
Yes, it’s intended. It’s also why the Lich King pretty much sucks.
The problem is that your right most minion is usually where you need to put your activating minion or buffing minion and giving it reborn does next to nothing when you have no more minions.
Even if you put your right most minion as your deathrattle minion, your board likely sucks because you almost always want your deathrattle minion to be the first minion to die or next to the last or somewhere in the middle. You almost never want your deathrattle minion to be last.
It should be upgraded to where you get to pick a minion to have reborn.
