If you don’t get the perfects cards when purchasing then you just get utterly destroyed. The game is too swingy in this fashion. When I get the perfect cards I need then it’s really no challenge. When my opponents get their own perfect cards then it’s simply a mindless blowout. A coin flip basically. Blizzard please balance this mode. I’ll prove it too after I download the update and play my first ever game.
Bruh it is literally brand spanking new. You ain’t gonna find good balance day one on a mode Blizz has no prior experience with lol.
I built a good mech lineup only to get smacked by a 98/98 pogo hopper in the last round.
And yet somehow Kripp is managing to hold onto the number 1 spot in the world for hours on end.
Welcome in the world of autobattlers…
Ressource management and knowing how to reroll to get the best strat regarding what the game is proposing is the mandatory skill needed to win games.
Seems like you don’t have it though.
I really do find it funny that people think he isn’t good.
There’s no question he’s good. He’s just annoying as hell when he whines.
Well, lots of people have insisted he’s trash for years.
It’s a card game, doh! Drawing the right card at the right time is all part of the game, if you don’t like rng play Starcraft or chess or Go etc.
Is this the part where people remember that even Autochess involves - gasp - chance?
You cannot always win all of your games in these types of genres with sheer willpower and skill. That’s been the case ever since the beginning. There ARE examples of folks (like Kripp, Trump) who do great at them quite often, so maybe (just maybe) there’s a bit more to learn, here?
I fail to see the appeal of this game.
I was just watching a cousin to play it and I am not impressed at all. It looks like it follows the same pattern as arena :
- learn the basics
- pray for good RNG at draft
- pray for the worst RNG possible in draft for others
Havent preordered but so I cannot tell after watching just few games but it looks like its true. Once he was able to win (some impressive beast synergy and good choices offered), once he was 2nd (solid choices offered, mech synergy this time) and few times he was 6th, 5th … etc. depending on how the opponents were lucky with draft because he got offered pretty horrible choices, different minions each turn with no synergy at all.
But its nice there is more players thus even when you arent blessed by RNG, there might be others who would receive even worse choices so you could get higher than you should
No silly. What you do with what you’re given doesn’t matter, all that matters is what you’re given.
It has problems, but that is what Beta’s are for. Give your feedback and not your QQing and it will get better.
I will say the selection of the character you get is a BIG deal. If you don’t get the right hero with the right cards you will lose quickly. I just leave after the third round if I cannot get synergy with the minions.
It’s pointless to stay if you lose the first three rounds.
If you want annoying as hell, watch anything by Amaz.
I will admit certain things have been overlooked.
Patches
1 mana hero power
Deal 3 damage to two random enemy minions
Ragnaros
2 mana hero power
Deal 8 damage to two random enemy minions
I think they’re overvaluing how much the currency is worth.
Is there limit how many times you can get same minion? I got Pogo so many times it became 106/106 but then like 30 rolls row I didn’t find single Pogo.
Am I the only one that keeps getting the same minions every battleground? I see other players getting legendaries all the time.
Both of those powers tend to be good in the early - mid game, and only somewhat useful in the late game.
Typically, the passive powers tend to be much better.
The hero with the +1/1 mech passive, I’ve never seen that hero go below top 4, and they are usually locked in 1st place.
A.F.Kay is really good too, passing 2 turns to start with a tier 3 and 4 minion is really strong, but needs luck with synergy from that point.
The ones you have to spend coins on are typically weaker, though, Yogg-saron is decent if your random minion is useful / synergizes with the team.
Those might matter in the early game when it’s a vastly inefficient way to use your coins and exact health count doesn’t matter and they’re utterly useless lategame.
They’re not even good, let alone OP and undercosted.
