How the hell does a dead players deathrattle spawn 4, 6 star cards. I only saw 4, 6 star cards my entire game. Kills me wit 23 stars. Complete crap. Bs like this regularly happens to me. Best cards get killed first, have two of a card for 6 or more hands without making a match. Can’t progress past 4500 because the game screws me so often.
It’s a complete sh*tfest until they can properly develop a normal matchmaking.
But I guess HS’s Devs are just too bad for it.
Another game, another time where I’m 7th for 3 turns and still can’t face that 8th dead guy that I didn’t see the entire game.
No, instead I face #1, #2 for the 3rd time each. Well done !
Battlegrounds is now better then it has ever been.
Which is quiet an achievement since it was already very good.
There are 8 people in a battleground match.
Not everyone can be number 1.
I’m just always surprised by how variable power levels are game to game. Sometimes people get monster boards so early and then sometimes you win with something that would have gotten killed turn 8 in another game.
I blame tier 4.
When people get offered 2-3 golden by turn 8 and you take 20+ damage turn 7, it’s just trash.
The power level is insanely dumb and not mastered at all by blizzard team.
If you search around online (I can’t link it here), there are articles in which the dev’s say they are testing a system wherein all units do 1 damage to mitigate this effect. Supposedly the internal testing has been mixed on it with some good and bad changes coming from it. You can imagine that it helps with boats and coilers, but that it really sucks to see the pogo and whelp spammers doing equal damage to teir 6 strategies.
I personally would like to see it so that is the same as it is now, but that any units spawned onto the battle itself are all worth 1 pt. This feels like it will continue to reward players for climbing tiers without having comically dangerous pirate boats, etc.

there’s a lot of rng for everyone but if you’re stuck at 4k, the problem comes from you and not from the game
a 14k mmr player doesn’t have the same winrate at 10k just like a 9k player has a different winrate at 4k, it wouldn’t be true if there was only rng involved
everyone would play as if they were playing deathwing then lol
Wow, 4500, your opinions really do carry a lot of weight
Nah nah nah BG isn’t crap. It is just Incredibly BORING
So you’re saying it’s me who selects the cards in my band, or me who chooses which opponent to hit, or me who chooses the cards my opponents get. You know how foolish you sound even saying it’s my fault. I admit I am vocal so I am probably penalized by the developers, other than that I have no idea how I can be hit in round 6 and lose 20 power and it’s my fault.
If you can’t get out of 4500 then you have plenty to learn. I would wager you’re making tons of easily correctable mistakes. I am 8k+ and I still make poor choices at times.
Everyone is playing the same game, so even with rng, skill wins over time.
Many of the choices are small changes that have big effect. It can be as simple as I take the crystal weaver for the 5/4 body even though I don’t have demons over refresh and not take another minion on turn 6.
The small strategy pieces add up over time.
Sometimes you totally highroll, but climbing Ranking is about consistently finishing top 4 not just trying to get #1 all the time.
My advice to start is to take the best minions available until you get later in the game. The less you refresh the better, but even if you have no synergy with your board and the tavern, there are right and wrong choices to take.
Nailed it! Borefest!
Battlegrounds has been steadily going downhill since release. it was great at release, though. Nowadays it feels more like a slot machine than ever.
The damage in BGs is broken to a point, where you can get hit for 24, while being the at first place. The rng in the game is beyond ridicilous.
at least, it isn’t the game’s fault
of course, it’s your fault if you make 45648787misplays
apparently, bad players have a different version of the game lol
No such thing as bad players. If they just buy more packs their battleground MMR won’t be stuck in a low bracket.
Don’t be a dope. Everyone at every level is playing the game, and has the right to their opinion. At least the guy had the guts to admit he is a low rank. So go take your elitist crap and shove it.
This is the right answer. Forget first, first is the guy who high rolls, or the person who picked a tribe turn one and got lucky. The goal is to always get fourth and no lower then fifth.
Best way to do that is always ask yourself how can I improve my board with what I am being offered. In the early and often mid game forget about tribe synergy, and just trying and improve your board.
