This wouldn’t be such a broken combo if Goldrinn was nerfed so it didn’t apply to all beasts in a round. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
Either that or Hawkstrider needs to be a tier 6 or outright removed. Right now it’s basically impossible to beat Goldrinn + Hawkstrider + Slamma
hawk plus that mech that deals 5 dmg is nutty too
The hawkstrider needs to be removed from the mode.
It ruins the game.
Hawkstrider is broken. Even at tier 6 it’s too strong. Probably could have been a tier 7 choice in my opinion. Hopefully removed permanently in next patch along with lighter fighter and a few other minions.
Personally I think celave should be removed too but that’s asking too much methinks!
On the flipside, the new Goldrinn is insurance to keep Beasts relevant once Banana Slamma is finally taken out behind the shed like it deserves.
Hawkstrider, on the other hand…should go the way of its relative, the dodo.
Whirlwind slam Thorim every beast lobby, lets go.
They should reduce the the DRs it can trigger to one, two for golden.
That does not stop it from creating exponential scaling in other builds that are not just bombs bursting in air.
It still stacks with Rylak, making it stack with brann and baron, making it capable of producing broken stats in just one or two turns, then being removed in favor of those exponentially better than you units.
The hawkstrider is absolutely a bad idea and absurd power when properly utilized.

I really like hawkstrider as a card but maybe it has to go.
Battles beeing decided by who,s hawkstrider procs first is just to much.

I know. It’s so strong not just by what it can do, but what it can do throughout all the tribes because it isn’t tribe specific in its ability. It’s like a Tier 7 power level, imo.
Well, sadly, it looks like they’d prefer to nerf around the hawkstrider than nerf the bird itself based on the balance patch preview on twitter.
Ohhh well I’m glad they are doing something. The hawkstrider is such a loser card I feel like such a piece of excrement even using it. But what do I do? If I don’t take it then someone else will. Like it’s forcing me to be a pos!
I can never get both the hawkstrider and a single deathrattle beast that is of any help like the super super rare wolf … or i can find rylak but not any battlecry minions at all worth putting next to it (i’d be lucky to find the tier 1 zergling demon that consumes a tavern minion for its stats, making it useless next to rylak in combat…). and I can NEVER find a third Baron… golden minions has gotten to maybe 1 per game recently for me… its gotten really bad in terms of the bad odds I keep encountering. I have only been able to climb to 4k this season so far since reset… normally I can climb to 5.5k or 6k but will hesitate to cross into 6k knowing how insanely difficult the lobbies can be with there being 6k to 10k all allowed to be in the same game. But Ive hit a ceiling of 4.1k so far this season… I still havent been able to buy a banana hammock beast guy at all in any game this season. Not the demons that scale other demons boards wide, not the taunter one that consumes on demon played, not the end of turn all other demons consumes a tavern minions stats, not even the one that scales other demons when i take damage. But I can always find that demon pirate for the end of turn coin and damage but rarely find the one that undoes damage taken and gains health from it before I;ve reached tier 4 or 5…
Well, at least there seems to be a plethora of buffs with nerfs and some minion removals/additions. I’m sad Slamma isn’t touched, but at least we may see a shift in the current meta.
It’s even crazier that tons of BGs buffs and nerfs were teased and Hawkstrider isn’t even on the list. Absolutely nuts.
