Hello all i’m new to forums but needed to get some insite for this game my friend had.
He was playing Gallywix and had Sooo much gold every turn. i’m not talking like 18 gold i’m talking like 32 gold.
In the case of this game that i had with him he had just bought 2 cards and was in the process of refreshing his tavern and he still had 26 gold left. he was doing so much buying and selling that he wasted 8 gold from the turn timer ticking over.
I was thinking that this was insane, so im asking for input.
if there is somewhere i can post a pic of the board state to show you please feel free to tell me.
im only asking do we need to tell the devs to ban Gallywix in pirate lobby’s or is this just a case of working as intended?
Like often i see 2 players at almost full hp and the rest of the lobby is as good as gone.
But they will balance it eventually they always do. I just wonder if they will first release all tribes and then balance or if they will balance in between.
For the mean time just trying to have fun with it. If you dont get the highroll early then its roaching for top 4,usually on tier 4. Which has been quiet effective for me.
BG’s is going to be a bit of a mess till all the minion types are in and they have more solid data on how to balance out the broken combos.
My personal thought is remove Duo from the pool entirely. If you don’t take them when they come up on any build you are playing BG’s wrong. An auto pick minion regardless of build is just bad.
H, I hadnt encountered it yet until literally the game right before checking this just now. lol. I used it and got it to proc but it iddnt matter as I had died the turn it gave me the 3rd copy of a minion I wanted to triple. lol. Tier 4 cards arent a common sight in my refreshes usually. But I made it to 3rd place and was tier 4. Not a bad match. I wanna say it was turn 20 something as I had an unusual number of goldens, 3.
It’s the minion that also forced Fireworks to be removed because it was double and triple dipping. I’ve had games where i went out fast but in regular matches the duo is absolutely worth taking and then when you triple it at higher tiers you can golden Brann, Baron or most commonly Kalecgos on dragon builds since they fixed the interaction with Brann,
I mean, that’s 100% been the Twitch Personality dev staff’s whole identity for the last, what… 2-3 years? Everything is big, flashy, OTK! 6 30/30s on turn 5! Dead on turn 3! Your opponent has done nothing but be passive for 15 turns, you put out the undeniable lethal board, and he uses the 4 cards in hand to do 56,314 damage!
Anything slow, BORING, (BOO!!!) like control, or tempo, or board control, or anything resembling the entire identity of this decade old game has to go when Chakki and Songbird show up to the conference room.
It’s like reality show TV, where there’s a camera cut every 1.8 seconds, and everything is planned, staged, fake, over the top, screaming crowd reaction. And apparently that’s what everyone wants… because those shows get rating, and I don’t see anyone but me complaining about the game state.
The worst part is you don’t even have to be creative in the first two weeks to find the best, crazy deck or combo and let everyone in the world netdeck it… They’re pre-fabricating it in the expansion, making it obvious in the card names, and just in case you’re seriously dense, they’ll trot out their little pre-expansion launch video telling you how to do it.
I dont think you need to be so mean spirited much less call anyone that doesnt see what you see right away as dense. It just makes you look like a person no one should want to associate with because of how negative you are to anyone and everyone. I dont see what you are going on about, but I dont watch people play this game as I dont enjoy that or get anything from it. But I also dont netdeck or try to predict any builds or what others might do. I just see whats presented to me refresh after refresh and if anything i havent seen before has a neat interaction I experiment with it. I still havent had a match where I got above tier 4 yet this season so I dont know anything about the super high tier minions and their interactions yet. But I look forward to it. its like playing legos and tetris and pokemon and kinex all at the same time and in the form of a digital Jenga game. all sorts of different ways to have fun.
You dont HAVE to choose to see the game the way you do. You are actively making that idea waht you are reacting to, the game itself hasnt done you any harm in any way. But you seem as if it has done you wrong. But that reaction isnt the game’s doing, that’s your doing. No one but yourself is making you feel the way you are about the game. Literally, no one is. Just you deciding you will.
