Deathwing is the most powerful hero in all regions at all levels outside the very, very top rated players. We’re playtesting him internally at +2 attack and will likely nerf him to that soon ™.
The most powerful hero in all regions at all levels was Tirion. We playtested with his hero power at (2) mana and it felt like too big of a detriment. We also thought about changing the minion pool but opted to take some more time to playtest internally while we deactivate.
Yep just like some were saying Tirion was in fact better than deathwing before removal.

Kind of surprised by this as most of the posters here at least seem to be all 7k+ mmr or at least most. 7k mmr in bg is pretty much equal to legend in constructed.
I play for fun, if I wanted to rank up I would play the cobalt meta but it gets boring even after getting the first cobalt for me so I just skip cobalts.
Dont get akazam being good or lich baz being good at firsting. PPL are too greedy with reno. Dancin D surprises me since half his good minions got removed.
Aka is good for top 4 because splitting is really good with certain taunted minions. Ice block can cheese you top 4s even if you have a weak board. I don’t think Lich is good, it just have slightly better 1st places than most because with all the coins you can gain a lot of tempo early but you also risk just taking 20 damage and die. Nozdormu is just much better in comparison.
Daryl still good to dance on rats or like hydra/rovers personally. The divine reborn dragon is great also.
I’m not super surprised about regular forum goers being in the 7k area. I’m just slightly below, at 6975. It makes sense that the better players are going to be the ones that are regularly checking the latest strategies, seeking advice, and reading what others have to say about it.
I’m not surprised that the reported MMRs around here skew pretty high, because the bigger the MMR the more likely one is to share it. Unlike mine which is ahemaherr.
Would I be correct in my assumption that internet’s pretty crappy in China (at least compared to first world countries) and/OR the Chinese servers are pretty crappy, and this is the reason Deryl’s played so much less there?
I was surprised to see Argus too given it’s not a powerhouse, but then it’s likely the most versatile tier 4 unit – can be used to improve pretty much any build.
I think it’s because a lot more people in china mainly plays on their cell phones. The last time I been there I see a lot of school kids playing league mobile or whatever on the street, cafes, mcdonalds etc. They would also spend all their money on the latest phones but not necessarily on a pc.
Argus is a fine pick for the bonus and because you have to give certain units taunt for lategame builds like goldrinn, kaboom bots, ect. Even giving your cobalts taunt is a play if you are behind and have kangor and taunt activator for cobalts. You would really have to be behind to do this one though where stuff has to hit perfect for you to win but giving taunt to cobalts is a way you can do it.
