Battlegrounds: Dragon "diffusion" bug

I have repeatedly played dragon, with the Alliance keychain trinket, and using either/and persitent poet and amber guardian.

It seems that buffs will ALWAYS go to the dragon who can’t retain the buffs.

Ex: I just played a 50/50 impuslive trickster WITH TAUNT. Followed by a Tarecgosa, a Wannabee Gargoyle, a PErsistent Poet and a Blazin Skyfin. Every single time my Trickster died, the 50/50 buff AND health buff went on the Persistent poet.

This happens also when I have 7 dragons and I have two drags that cant retain buffs (lets say an Amber Guardian and Prized Promo-Drake) the Divine shield will go on the Prized Promo-Drake instead of all my Tarecgosa.

And that seems to happen most of the time, especially at the begining of the game.

I really have to sell everything and keep only the ones that keep buff, because if one doesn’t… he gets the buff every time.

I know you will say it’s a bias from my part, but i am really starting to see a pattern here.

Funny thing, the buff goes well only late game when I am on my last rounds. THEN the buff propagates…

Is there some kind of “mario kart” catchup algo in this game?

I really think it’s luck and confirmation bias. Sometimes I see that same bad luck; other times I don’t. It’s hard, because nobody has enough data, and your personal experiences are always just going to be a small slice of the game.

Could you post some replays?

Did you ever consider getting a second poet and putting them next to each other?

You can also go with fewer dragons for the them to possibly give it to, making it harder for it to miss. But yes, two poets side by side is how to solve the issue of it always landing on a poet for you.

I am actually curious to find any information on the RNG of battleground.

It is clearly not PURE random, we can see this with the trinkets: the more you play a specific type, the more chances you have to get a bonus according to that type.

Any idea if there are other “mecanics” behind their RNG?

Trinkets were designed that way but it’s still not a guarantee and with the current expanded pool it’s a massive gamble to try it.
