Im reporting this as a bug, because I can’t possibly imagine a world where this is intended.
In Battlegrounds, during the “Bring home the Bacon” anomaly and while playing A. F. Kay, if you cast your Piggy Banks on turn 1 or 2, you don’t get any coins and your spells are wasted.
On turn 2, there is a plausible use as you get 4 coins and could theoretically upgrade the tavern. But currently you don’t get any of the coins.
If the intent for A. F. Kay is to not allow the turn 2 upgrade, then the ability to cast the spells at all should be removed until turn 3.

not a bug. next time think before you make your move
First off, Rude.
Secondly, When I played the anomaly with the “Deep Blue Sea” spells, I was successfully able to cast them on the minions in the Tavern to scale the spells when using a “skip X turns” hero. Which implied that casting spells worked for “skip X turns” heroes.
The fact that “Deep Blue Sea” works, but “Piggy Bank” doesn’t work is inconsistent and makes “thinking” unhelpful, instead the result is simply memorizing what works and what doesn’t.
Until I get an official response (however unlikely) I will consider this unintended.

The point of AFK is that the mindset of the hero itself isn;t in the game at the helm of the controls so to speak until turn 3. Now that doesnt mean you cant do anything in those first two, such as if Mukla happens to give you a banana card, you could give it to the minions in the tavern and freeze them, also, freezing the tavern is a thing one can do. These go against the grain of playing AFKay which is evident by the achievement for her hero where you not only finish first place as her, but go all of the first three rounds without so much as more than a mouse wiggle. Any actions taken such as freezing a tavern, giving a banana to a tavern minion, etc, would disqualify you from the achievement. So it is safe to say the player is meant to also just go make a sammich while playing as her for those first two rounds just in general.
You are correct, that the deep blue cards being allowed would be inconsistent however, those do not give AFKay any extra economy power. Just temporary stats to minions she doesnt even get to use yet. So they are no more inconsistent than the bananas. The Piggy Bank does however, give more econ to a hero that come out the gate with 2x tier 3 minions and at least 1 tier 1 if not upgrading that first chance. Which has always been her gimmick to just waffle the first two rounds and then bam out of nowhere dominate the lobby with higher tier minions no one else can get yet if they aimed for em. Giving this hero extra econ in addition to the almost unfair advantage that is her gimmick, would actually be inconsistent with how the game and anomalies in general, operate.
Thats my take away. But Im told I miss the point a lot. So what do I know?

It does give her permanent scaling on subsequent deep blue cards though. If the intent is she isn’t suppose to get specifically “extra economy” thats fine. There are many instances in which casting certain spells at certain times is restricted. I don’t see why economy spells can’t also be restricted for her until turn 3. Or at the very least put that yellow aura around them when they will succeed, like when a Battlecry minion needs a specific target.
I guess my primary issue is one of inaccurate communication with the player. It just ends up being a un-provoked and unnecessary punishment for inexperienced players. Especially when all other indicators imply it’s an acceptable move.

But that unfortunately is all over the game. You can put a battlecry minion next to Rylak and the battlecry can buff your enemy and not your minion because of the lack of the specificity of “freindly” not being on the card. Only if you make that mistake does it become glaringly apparent you can help your enemy defeat you by following what the cards tell you to do “put your battlecry minion next to Rylak if you want to get more out of it” strat. I get what you mean tho. I could see the argument for the indicator (yellow) for a successful casting versus a normal blue aura tho. But would that be for her alone? Would we all see yellow auras in that card?
…Rylak and the battlecry can buff your enemy and not your minion because of the lack of the specificity of “freindly” not being on the card.
I consider that proper communication though. It does exactly what it says. No “friendly” wording on the Battlecry or Rylak, means enemies can be a target. The implication is consistent, and there isn’t really a way to use an aura to directly show it (not without putting one on literally every target at least).
The Piggy Bank is different because there is no clear indicator to counter the implications from elsewhere.

its not a bug, just a learning experience, when it says skip 2 turns, it really means it
