The major issue here, is since the implementation of Buddy‘s, I have noticed turns where either I or my opponents play beasts can take so long that your turn really doesn’t exist, because the death rattle animations of some of the creatures and the buffing animation take too long. my most recent match had my opponent in successfully stall out the game to wear the last two turns we didn’t get to use the tavern, forcing us out of being able to play.
The animation length has become so great, that I would consider it a bug. My opponent had two of the Lasher beasts that get buffed. Every time another beast is damaged, two of the blue birds, that individually buff every time a beast is damaged, the undead beast, that damages and buffs every other creature, when it dies, then is reborn. And I don’t think the game was designed with these synergies in mind to the point that the time in tavern is reduced down to 10 and 4 seconds.
I ca propose two solutions that would address this problem, one is to remove the undead beast, the animation it has, along with the others it triggers take too long. Alternatively, as a quality of life feature, create a fast forward, or skip button for matches, the upside would be that you get more time with the tavern, with the drawback that you were stuck in the tavern for the remainder of the between match timer. This comes with a secondary benefit and drawback, the second drawback is that a team doesn’t know how they lost, and the potential entire team composition of their opposing team. While the benefit would be in situations where you need more time for abilities, and things like that you actually have the time to finish your turn in the tavern.

I just quit a duos because Nzoth had golden macaw, golden Rivendare, with golden fish who copied spike lizard, bird, chimera… etc etc. Surely we could detect something like and save us all precious minutes of our very delicate lives. Right??
This bug has been around for at least a month, beast triggers take so long that the turn after is 0 seconds. Its not like this issue is new, the same thing happened with leap frogger back in the day. But I guess Blizzard is a small Indy company that is more invested in making 20$ skins than fixing game breaking issues.
