I just had a game where i had the whirl-o-tron and Leeroy jenkins at the start of the game and when my opponent had killed the whil-o-tron it didn’t trigger the deathrattle from Leeroy as it should’ve.

I just had the same thing happen to me, started with Leeroy on board but Whirl-o-tron did not copy the deathrattle from Leeroy.
the nzoth fish doesnt get it either
Unacceptable. I absolutely despise Blizzard’s attitude to stealth nerfs while lying about how cards work, offering rates, and random distributions (flat vs curves).

This happened to me yesterday also.
I just had this cost me a combat too… Bizarre nerf given it’s a 6-drop buddy.
This bug is still here. My Piloted Wirl got Zapp Slywicked and nothing happened… 
And it’s part of the fixes that have been announced for the upcoming patch
