Battleground Hero Theorycraft

Let’s come up with some heroes for fun. It’s easier to use adventure/dungeon bosses for references and names.

Graves the Cleric
Light’s Will (2) - Restore 3 health to your hero.

The Mothergloop
Gloop (Passive) - At the end of your turn, give minions in your hand +1/+2

Loatheb
Necrotic Aura (Passive) - Deal 1 damage to the enemy hero at the start of the battle phase (Cannot kill the hero).

Chromaggus
Brood Affliction (7) - Add a copy of minion on the board to your hand.

Black King
Cheat (4) - Choose a minion, for one turn it attacks the lowest attack enemy minion.

Zinaar
Djinn’s Intuition (4) - Give yourself a random Wish (0) that disappears at the end of the turn.

Gnosh The Greatworm
Swallow Hole (2) - Choose a minion and remove it from the shared minion pool.

man all of these are really OP. they could just remove all other heros.

Zilliax (2) give a mech in your hand Magnetic

Magnetic Cobalts? lol That cost would have to be like 8, lol

That would be way too much life. Demons could live forever, lol

Seems fun, but would need a much better buff to justify keeping inhand a turn.

I’ve always thought they should have a hero power that adds taunts to target minion.

Lol, didn’t even think about the cobalts.

Maybe this then…

Zilliax (10) add a magnetic mech to your hand. Reduce the cost of this hero power by your tavern tier.

Not hear a thing about people are talking here.

Most of your hero powers are pretty okay except for chromaggus that is 100% underpowered.

Not get me wrong but if a hero power not dictates how you play that game then you’re better with another hero instead.

With that said chromaggus would get dupes faster and without necessity of reroll and if you need more than the double of the cost to buy it’s hero power would arguably end being not used at all since there are a ton of other stuff that you can get that are better than a dupe in most cases.

I would say 6 or even 5 gold would be the sweetspot. If something isn’t balanced properly it isn’t this hero power fault.

(Passive) Give +2/+2 to minions in your hand

Actually seemed overpowered to me. Being able to get a copy of the best minion you own would be pretty crazy. 7 is only the cost of 4 refreshes and minion cost. You don’t think copy of best minion you own is worth 4 refreshes to find? Talk about a shifter hero, lol. Early Foe Reapers to copy, lol.

they actually seems quite good excep chromaggus may be a tad OP late game.

Before copy “your best minion” you need to actually build your best minion.

The copy of a junk minion still a junk minion. This is this hero power true nature.

In fact once it goes up no one stops but how much time people had before it happened?
Also…

Is that minion really “perfect”?

That minion should have synergy with itself too. This isn’t easy.

In the end this is the same problem we have in normal hearthstone.
People forget that your opponent has total right of actually try to win.

yeah chromaggus was an after thought, his hero power is kind of stupid

I actually already did this for 50 heroes already. Keep in mind I made these before alot of changes happened.
