Colorful compasses (“Boussoles colorées” in french) do not grant any quilboars when the hand fills with blood gems (during combat) even after using them, they are lost forever = 4 cards lost !

In french, Huran = quilboar.

Only spellcraft cards do accommodate with full hand and wait until you have room in hand to grant their spell.
All other mechanics of the game need you to manage your hand space correctly, trinkets are no exception, just as were quests
If your hand is full when receiving an additional card, that card is lost, just as minions are not summoned when your board is full

Since blood gems are collected during combat, it’s impossible to “manage” this (or by playing the minion choice badly !).

The Quilboar’s goal is to have gems, so the behavior of the cards must be modified, especially with trinkets.

It’s possible by managing how many you will generate
If you know you will generate 8 gems during the fight then you know you can only have 2 cards in hand
And if you know you will get another card at the start of your turn, then you can only end your turns with a single card in hand
If you generate too much cards it’s your problem for beeing too greedy
Same thing as overdrawing in Hearthstone
