Battlefield Duos - BEGGING allow us to downcheck teammates

Started a match as Master Nguyen. First round, picking a hero power. Teammate tells me to pick a stupid one (spend 1 to lock in a card for 2 turns, which wouldn’t allow me to buy a card). I pick the other.

They leave the game.

Please, let us report bad teammates. When enough reports are in, they get soft bans and if it continues permanent bans. Because they won’t play nicely. They ruined the game for me, and made it worse for other 6 players because of their control freak tantrum. Please let us not play with these people anymore.

Or don’t ban them, just move them off to their own league where they only play with people who have been downchecked a lot.

Just Duos has such potential, and bad teammates always leave such a horrible taste.

Stop playing with randoms and you won’t have this issue.

Using that hero power and buying a 2 cost tavern spell, or Apples, or a Coin, is always better than buying a minion normally. Coin = 2x Tier 2 minion buys on turn 3. They were not the stupid one. I might have left too.

Almost every time someone complains on the forums about their BGs opponent being bad, they are being hypocritical. If you experience a lot of drama in Duos, as opposed to only occasionally, the problem is probably you. If you got your way, YOU would be permanently banned.

The mode was a full of trolls . Nothing surprises me anymore.

Ah yes cause my teammate refusing to go +2 minions on turn 1 is the end of the world. Sometimes it helps to not imagine I’m playing with other humans and instead think I’m playing with someone’s cat batting the mouse or screen around in a sometimes but not always helpful manner

Thats pretty meek as an example of a bad teammate. Try having your teammate highroll into double poison murloc trinket (+20 stats each time poison kills something) and then they sell all the poison minions I trade them and put their 2 poison murlocs in the back 2 spaces… XD

They need to allow better communcaiton between teammates. It’s a team effort and trying to understand what your opponent wants as times can be a challenge.

There is a lot of opportunity for improvement in Duo’s. So we shall see what will come.

Some players don’t even know how to use the current emotes, which currnelty, is the only way to commuincate with your teammate, they just hover over a minon continously.

I love being at 6k knowing I still run into room temp IQ dogwater players who just spend 15 gold in one turn trading the wrong cards instead of communicating.

they’re only around 6k because of their teammate and not their own merit

It doesn’t matter if it’s Battlegrounds or Hearthstone or what. If there is a rank floor, at which if you would lose you don’t lose any ranking, then it’s a participation trophy rank. You’re referring to the final participation trophy rank. There is no skill in making Legend; there is no skill in making 6k. Skill starts at high legend; skill starts at idk about 6200 BGs rating. That’s not where skill ends, just where it starts.

Yes, you’re going run into those players you mentioned at 6000 because 6000 is mostly those players you mentioned.

it’s not even most, it’s not even at a dead 50%. 8k rating is the minimum leaderboard ranking and 10k is truly where the game gets quite heated because getting fourth is a loss, and third is barely a win.

Well it’s important to understand how the distribution is NOT even. Something like a third of the BGs playerbase is between 5800 and 6200, near the top rating floor, except near the beginning of a season. There are more players between 7000 and 7500 than there are between 9000 and 14000.

you know each player come to enjoy the game. And if I see teammate who try teach me each step, - like you describe - I leave too. Cause Im here to play too, and to enjoy.
Yeah sometimes its hard to understand why people leave after pick a hero - think they just cant play this hero …not good sure, but its not reason for ban or another punish. You dont lose your time or rating.
I dont care rating, but anyway they reflects your time playing anf must depends only from you and not from some jerk who just become AFK cause he dont like something. Better he leave the game and I safe my gained points.
And when it just make you lose selling all his minions and watch you lose - htey are really deserve being reported. Each player can just have bad or unlacky cards but lose intentionly must be reported.
**
-they can leave or just be afk waiting you lose. What you prefer? And yes, they come to enjoy the game, so they CAN leave, BUT not make you lose cause they dont like something (hero or your playstyle)

guys this topic is not about your rating, but about players behaviour. Rating its just number, and any rating can exist. You are so wrong thinking that high rating is the best or for best players. And its so disgusting to have such a teammate, who think he is super star and knows everything while people with low rating are just silly ones.

You’re bullying people. You are intelligent enough to go Legend and BG Legend(6K) but you don’t get that doesn’t mean all other people are worthless and skilless.

There are people who can’t go Platinum; there are people with high skill that go Legend faster per games played; there is higher Legend because they play 24/7.

This really depends on what you mean by “can’t.” For ranks below Legend, progress = skill × time. I could accept that someone “can’t” make Platinum/Diamond because they have a job and/or family and/or other time commitments. But if we assume that someone is willing to pay the cost of dedicating an entire month of their time at once, then no, virtually everyone can. They’d have to be stupider than a bot not to make Diamond in a month, because that’s literally what every bot does in two weeks or less. And only a tiny percentage of people are actually dumber than bots, like the legitimately intellectually disabled people.

So really, no, excluding the tiny group of exceptions, everyone CAN. They just CHOOSE not to. And that’s okay.

Your equation dissolves your argument. If the skill is high and the time is little, they may go to lower ranks than those you dis and still be skillful.

Now, how fast you can speed run a Legend climb is a valid measure of skill.

Still not a valid counter. The time might be less than that required going Legend. If you play 1 game and you have the best skill why are you a bad player?

The time is 720 hours. Period. One month. It’s identical for everyone.

Pretty much everyone COULD drop everything they have going on, do literally nothing but eat, sleep and play Hearthstone, and make at least Diamond 5. Outside of literally disabled people.

I understand that a lot of people don’t want to be evicted and/or divorced, so they CHOOSE not to play non-stop. And yes, I understand that most of the time, when people say that they “can’t” do something, what they mean isn’t that they literally can’t, but that they don’t want to live with drastic consequences that such behavior would have.

But it’s still a choice.

You still ignore the other direction of time of playing little instead of a lot. You dis people who don’t get certain RANKS as skillless; you have no clue what skill they have by just looking at rank; they may have Champion-tier skill and play only 1 game in a month and never go outside Chicken 10.

PS 720 hours sounds like a very time-wasting goal for my tastes; I’m going to toot my horn but I’m an example on this; I went legend in less than 10 or 20 times that time because my favorite hobby in ranked is to find the fastest way possible to do it (fastest in-game (not in-month)).
