I know I see others using the taunt+deathrattle Beast for its affects on battlecries from adjacent minions using its deathrattle… but I havent seen a single Beast with any battlecries. I get its a useful tech card for all the others but does it have any synergy with its own tribe at all? I asked in another thread but I cant recall which one and my notifications would indicate I havent gotten an answer there it would seem. If Beasts lack any Battlecries Id label this minion a trojan horse for beast builds.
Yes, as far as I’m aware there are absolutely no battlecry beasts. Most have passive or deathrattle effects. It’s quite the trap for players that aren’t experienced enough to know this ^^
Edit: There’s the Bonemare (T5) which gives 4/4 and Taunt as Battlecry but ehhh… Hm, dunno.
No, it used to combo with the snake that gives reborn, but then they changed that to an end of turn effect because it was bonkers busted.
The term “closed minded” comes to mind. You see it has a tribe, you think said tribe can only work with its fellow tribe members.
“It is a beast, that means if I buy it I am playing only beasts!”

“Busted” meaning specifically when you gave the second form of the Horse Reborn so it was Reborned infinitely.

I actually had never seen that. I assumed it was just the insane shenanigan games it could create with frogs and the banana guy.
I wouldn’t call it “closed minded” considering most minions have at least some synergy with their own tribe. The point isn’t that the card should be limited to their tribe, it’s that if you play the tribe, you wouldn’t have any benefit from it (and may actually want to avoid it).
Even the dual tribe minions were made to work in both the tribes they represent. Some cards work better with other particular tribes, but they still have small ways to work in their original tribe. This guy though? Pretty much dead without other good choices from other tribes.
^^^ This. This was my point. I was genuinely curious if there were any benefit to the beast tribe by having this minion. I stated in my initial post I already knew it paired well with other tribes. Hence my question. Which has been answered as there is that hybrid undead beast taunt giver. So minimal benefit if any at all for this tribe to have this minion. Other tribes benefit much more from it as already stated.
There used to have a give a beast +2/+2 with taunt.
Tbh, considering beast comps usually run Baron, giving it taunt randomly can be a huge no-no. Even if you don’t taunt the Baron with the effect, it still makes you more susceptible to swipe effects. So, I really believe this combo would cause more harm than good.
