i just played a game of duos where my partner lost the combat and took 9 damage but i won the combat and retained my 18 total health. later with the damage cap still up we took 15 so he died and i survived with 3 but it told us we lost.
there were no disconnects, the combats simply resolved differently. ive never seen this before.
