The murloc that buffs an in hand murloc and gives it +2 / +2 at the start of turn and summons it for this combat, doesn’t always summon the murloc out of hand.
Was your board full? Of course it cannot summon a minion if there is no room…
Also, I believe “at start of turn” effects are processed in random order. If your opponent had an “at start of turn” effect that killed your murloc, then it never got a chance to activate its effect.
No, the board was not full, and a minion may have killed it, but it shouldn’t matter, as it’s start of turn.
Opinions do not matter here in the bug report forum. We deal in facts.
And in this case, the fact is that a minion with a start-of-turn effect can be killed by another start-of-turn effect before its effect triggers.
while this may be true (that start-of-turn effects can interrupt other start of turn effects by random chance), this issue “bugs” me too … although my beef with the order in which things resolve in bgs boils down more broadly to how they handle the priority of different effects, this being one of those kinds of things … there is already the teron gorefiends hero power that treats things with a sort of “existing in limbo on board” which shows that they are able to process certain effects in ways as if there are extra spaces on the board in more elegant ways than the current system … i point this out for reasons of cards like any deathrattle/reborn effect where they process the deathrattle first, then the reborn effect, where they could just as easily process the reborn effect then the deathrattle, and simply push the deathrattle minions to the left until there is space … they could also treat dead spaces opening up as a place where a minion could summon instead of getting “board locked” because the dying minion is “in the way” in terms of the order of things resolving … i’ve felt for a long time that they need to rework a lot of these effects to work closer to completely synchronicity than the extremely awkward ways of prioritizing/positioning the combination of multiple effects … for the case of start of turn things, i’m kind of with the op where these should resolve quite a bit more synchronously with other start of turn effects and treat things that may have died as “ghosts” or “in limbo” like the teron gorefiend effect, and resolve the board as if they had all triggered much closer to simultaneously than currently exist … even if they need to choose a random order of priority on how to resolve them, it seems quite messy for things like this to just accept an illidan cleave build coin flipping you if you have a hawkstrider herald bomb build, or vice versa … also, just getting back to the op’s issue with the new murlocs, i’m not sure why they decided to position the summoning to the right, that seems like a major mistake in terms of how you would ever want to use this card
