Banned Jailer - Refund deck dust

Blizzard - I just crafted a deck revolving around Jailer. Can I be refunded all of the dust I invested??

Not really? You’re caught abusing OP cards.

Nah, just kidding. They said they’re putting Jailer back later after they re-program Druid. So it’s too early to say.

Don’t tell me…, you crafter the Tony jailer Druid deck just recently?
You’ll get your full dust back for the jailer so no need to worry.

People acting like The Jailer isn’t part of a Mini Set. Ya’ll didn’t spend dust on him, you got that mini set a long time ago.

Yep, crafted the deck last night. Just getting back into hearthstone after several years away. Not a good look to come back to this

Jailer is part of a mini-set - but the other cards associated with the deck are not.

What? That they’ve started quickly balancing the game?

You’re just super unlucky in this instance, that’s the risk of playing an explosively popular deck in the meta

To be fair if it was some ridiculous broken board centric deck it would be let run rampant for even a year like some in the past.

The reason for the fix being fast has far more to do with who than with the game being unbalanced or not.

Now people are being literally being forbidden from playing with a card/deck rather than devs actually fixing something.

Sorry but it isn’t anything to praise.

Incorrect. They are delaying the fix for the upcoming balance patch. The Jailer ban is so we didn’t have to deal with Jailer + Tony combo while we wait. Druid is still doing Druid things for now.

Way to nerf immuneolock which can’t be in any tier list. Blizzard is anti-fun. They should have just disabled druid.

And until when for it to devolve into this being the norm?

With bad nerfs was the same thing. Oh no it’s just this time because it is a real outlier regarding making people not have fun…

Now we nerf decks for literally hurting someone feelings on a monthly basis.

If you want to believe that will not turn into the new norm under a year at worse the problem is yours.

They will retire cards from being playable the literal momment they decide that “there is a problem” and wherever they feel like fixing it they will.

In other news: druids still doing the thing and being toxic without jailer.
Jailer can rot in hell with seedlock for eternity.

Uh, yeah bro. MTG does that too. That’s the norm.

Wait what this about Jailer card. Why is it banned?

I’m assuming you only get a refund for the one card that will soon be changed. Not your entire deck.

The Jailer was a card that was on my early radar as a poorly designed card, which was likely to break the game, eventually. Why are the devs so bad at predicting problems before they make and release such garbage?

Potentially broken cards sell better. That’s why they keep on releasing such cards. It’s what the customers desire.

Power creep is the number one thing they believe to sell cards. I’d argue a fun, balanced game wherein class identity still exists would sell cards, but I’m not a dev I guess.

Anyway, yeah, I’m going to venture a guess this won’t be last time we see something like this if the devs continue to make “neat” cards in hopes of sales without regarding what the card will actually do to the game as a whole.

Yes, and that is good! We don’t have to suffer until the real changes take place! They did this very good and maybe start to learn how to fix the game faster. Jailer was still working for only Druids basically and only because they have too much mana cheat. None of the other classes were able to use it anymore… Together with Tony… became a nightmare really and that is the biggest problem with it… I am glad to see these bans instead of waiting weeks for a proper fixing.

i’m not sure this is ultimately the right decision. i’m just glad they acknowledge the need for them to do something different, as long as they are willing and capable to change, i can only hope it will all be for the better…eventually.

I sure hope so. Something like this is a step in the right direction for the game and for me to consider playing Standard again.

How is addressing a polarizing issue a problem. Because of this?:

What data do you have this is true?

Excellent!
