I do not play much of Wild mode so that’s why I ask this question. I have been very tempted to dust them (I did get my dust refund for them) so I can build decks I can play in Standard mode but I would like to hear others opinions on if they are still worth keeping.
I play a lot of Even Shaman in Wild. Its a solid deck for climbing and I really enjoy its style.
They are not omnipresent, unlike in Standard, but Even Shaman and Even Warlock are both very powerful decks.
Although Odd Pally is still one of the absolute top-dogs.
As the RandomDrunk states… they’re not omnipresent right now and are not the top decks right now.
Genn is much better than Baku in Wild right now as Even Shaman and Even Warlock are better than their respective couterparts in Odd Paladin and Baku Warrior right now. Those are really the only 4 Genn/Baku decks that see real play right now as post Cold-Blooded nerf Rogue has gone towards Kingsbane Rogue as it’s aggressive deck of choice almost fully.
Evens Shaman is among my favorite decks, and Evenslock is very much playable. They are flexible decks with a lot of room for customization, and are easy to tailor based on how you want to play them and what cards you own.
Odd Paladin is also one of the higher tier Wild decks, as it naturally has a very good winrate against Kingsbane Rogue, but you may need to craft two Quartermasters and Muster For Battle to really get the full deck.
Odd Rogue also exists at a “playable” level. It’s fast, reliable, and cheap, but with the nerf to Cold Blood, lacks its old finishing power.
Beyond that, there are a few unusual ones you could try to mess with like Odd Mage, Odd Priest, and Evens hunter, but results are mixed, and up to you to figure out.
Not seeing play does not mean it’s not viable. Wild has a massive card collection. But the Wild playerbase is very and very small, so a lot of decks have never got the chance to be tested and reach “main-stream” Wild meta list
Because player-base is so small, we don’t know which are truly good decks/cards, we only see the laziest/cheapest/popular/trustworthy net-decks on HSReplay. For example with the Warrior class, I once saw Rush Warrior listed on HSReplay Wild, it had the highest winrate of all Warrior decks, it performed better than Pirate Warrior and Odd Warrior. It just wasn’t a popular deck so it got removed, in fact now is Odd Warrior also removed form HSReplay. Now they only record stats of Pirate Warrior and Bomb Warrior (performing very bad) other popular standard decks. No one plays Rush Warrior… it’s 1. expensive and 2. Too unknown to craft.
Odd and Even decks are powerful tools. Not sure how long it takes to be forgotten, despite being powerful.
But if you don’t want to play Wild (which is totally understandable). Feel free to dust Wild cards. Wild only gets more and more silly (or stupid) with every new expansion. Personally I never dust cards, because I don’t feel like I need to…
Do you happen to recall the rush warrior list at all? I’ve been looking for one. Anything not obvious that searching “rush” wouldn’t bring up in the collection?
It’s the Rastakhan’s Rumble + Year of the Mammoth standard Rush Warrior:
So something similar like this:
You can most likely fine-tune and improve for Wild version, like adding Malkorok, Varian or even N’Zoth for more late-game oriented plan.
But that standard list was already kinda the best Warrior deck in Wild when it was listed in HSReplay.
Thanks to Lykotic, I’ve mostly been playing Wild all morning. I’ve seen Odd Rogue (1), a few Even Shamans, and the occasional Odd Hunter.
I’m floating between 14 and 13. I did run into a mill rogue twice in a row but they clearly didn’t know how to pilot the deck.
