Badlands Was Peak

I absolutely cannot wait for Reno to rotate.

Powerful neutrals (Like Reno) are the worst part of this game, imho.

I love the thematics of Badlands

I hate how it pushed more powercreep through than almost three years of expansions managed to do, singlehandedly.

Badlands wasn’t really a great expansion for me, and the decks I enjoy.
Sunset volley and elementals aren’t really my thing.
One of my favorites in the not-too-far past has been Wildfire. (Barrens)
Not a good spell, because pay 1, then wait a turn to deal two on two is pretty bad I think, but I love HP mage and try every release to make it work, lol.

I personally hated the artwork of Sunken City (it was a theme that I think would have really benefitted from really beautiful artwork that I feel we just never got), but the set itself was pretty fun. I actually liked Colossal as a mechanic and I think there were a lot of good decks that were made from that set.

One thing I loved about badlands was the music, absolutely awesome music compared to any other set. its funny because festival of legends was a set entirely devoted to a music theme, and its music sucked, but badlands was amazing in comparison.

The card design, meta, etc were all meh. Badlands doesn’t hold a candle to some sets, like knights of the frozen throne. afaik, KFT is the most consistently selected set when asked which was peak among players.

Reno was basically the entirety of the set, nearly every deck used him at some point, got super frustrating and not that fun. Repeated nerfs to the card and it still sees play. It should never have been printed, its the epitome of the “i-win” card.
