Azerite Snake still not nerfed, no point in playing

There is no point in playing the game currently with cards like Azerite Snake being extremely uninteractive and completely BS to play against. I tried running Dirty Rat in ETC to try to disrupt the combo, but the issue with that is you have no ability to control what minions get pulled by Rat, so at best it only works maybe 10% of the time meanwhile snake can be played infinitely with discount / bounce tools.

There is no ‘game’ here, there is no actual playing being done, its all just robotic automation playing the same 5 cards over and over to win each match. Im boycotting standard until something is done about it. No point in spending time climbing ladder when you can get instantly deranked for matching against a warlock.

I get the frustration, and I don’t think you’re wrong but here’s a couple of things:

*ideally, the nerf will scare people off from playing it at all. So you might not have to deal with it as much as you think.
*I think Theotar is better than Dirty Rat. The Warlock deck is passive enough you can get away with him and Theotar has a way better chance of hitting it. If you’re playing a control deck.
*Excalock has to devote a lot of cards to nonsense and their combo. Even something like… the Scourge is just hard for them to deal with. So building your deck with a lot of mid-game board refills is useful. And make sure you can kill their gigafin’s head so you can get said boards back.
*The biggest problem with this is Sargeras. He’s just a board reset that wins the game often if they can drag it out that long.

“my deck can’t possibly win before turn 12 so obviously snake winning on turn 10-11 is no different from snake winning on turn 8-9”

Snake isn’t actually the problem. Nothing will ever make your deck good. We could nerf two dozen cards and your deck would still be terrible. It is bad and its creator should feel bad.

Snake is just your scapegoat.
