I just put taunt on Raid Boss Onyxia, and this guy playing Tavish just ran right though it and attacked me. There were no “ignore taunt” things on the board.
Thats not a bug. Since RBO is Immune you cant attack her.
Its the same if you put a taunt on a stealth minion.
Since it has stealth you cant interact with it you just ignore it.
Its the same interaction with RBO.

Well, let me say I understand this now, but I stole this idea from someone I just played 2 game early, and he put that same druid taunt on his dragon and I couldn’t attack through him anymore. I’m going to have to go back through hsreplay and see exactly how it worked for him.
Onyxia is only Immune if there is a Whelp on the board. If all the Whelps are killed then Onyxia is no longer Immune and her Taunt is no longer suppressed.
