Can anyone explain why in turn 11 I lost 8 HP when attacking the enemy hero?
I never noticed, that attacking hero who has attack makes You loose health…

Yes it’s a niche interaction of the game but this is working fine (I didn’t check the replay)
If for some reason a hero has attack and is attacked, they will deal damage in return, just as if it was a minion in which you were trading
One old example is missdirection, if your hero has attack and your minion triggers a missdirection and hits your own face, you will deal your hero damage to that minion
So in the current days, if a warrior has played Odyn and you make them have armor during your turn, they will have attack during your turn, and attacking them will make you lose hp
It’s quite unusual for the enemy hero to have an Attack value during your turn, so it’s not surprising that you never noticed.
But it’s entirely consistent. If you attack an enemy minion, you will take damage, right? It’s exactly the same with attacking the enemy hero.
I disagree. I’ve been playing HS since beta, and this was never the case. This is a new bug, unless they created a new card effect that they intended to create this effect. If that’s the case, I’d call it a design flaw because that is truly absurd.
You can disagree all you want. It won’t change mechanics that have been in the game since launch.
This has always been the case
If your opponent has attack on your turn, attacking them will result in your attacker losing health.
The exact same way when a minion attacks your face during your turn, they will lose health if you have attack.
This has been the case with misdirection since the card has been introduced, and there have been other examples throughout the years
it’s consistent. it just doesn’t come up often. because the weapons are sheathed when it’s not your turn. so something unusual has to occur for this interaction to happen. there is precedent though, it will do damage to whatever attacks it, hero or minion.
