Arena card pick

my first draft pool is Snip Snap, Arch Villain Rafaam, and Deathwing
I want to pick snip snap since it’s a decent card by itself and good with mechs, 2nd choice being deathwing, but I really want to pick rafaam just to have fun.

which one should I choose?

All good choices.
Snipsnap is probably the best. Rafaam could be good though it is the most RNG.

People often give up just after seeing you play Rafaam, such a fun card to play in arena even if it might not be the best. The best card in the bucket is Deathwing though, the card is insane in arena.

Snip Snap, prolly the best 3 drop in the game. 2/5 vanilla stat, sticky on board for good trading, magnetised work well with mech. Good at turn 3, amazing at turn 6, awesome at turn 9.

DW works on a good control deck as the last card. which is good but not better than SS. Rafaam is just not too good. Random legendary generally are understat for their cost and you dont get the synergy they offer.

Wouldn’t it be 4/5 stats by your logic ?

i used to think its 4/5 too but i realise at any one point it only capable of 2 damage. Basically snip snap in all form is capable of maximum 2 damage and you need 5 damage to get rid of him. A bit stickier cause its not a direct 5 damage but a 3 /1/ 1.

Snip is consistantly very good and you will always have an opportunity to play it where as Rafaam is crushing but a lot more highrolly. Neither will really save you if you are behind and about to lose already, snip snap helps never getting in that position and rafaan breaks a stalemate with a sledgehammer.

Snip if you want to go for a consistant curve deck that in most cases will get like 10 wins before you run into the one greed deck that somehow draws insane.

Rafaam if you want to be exactly that highrolly greed deck and go for 12 wins but also with a good chance to be rolled over by more consistant decks and never reach that many victories.

He’s capable of doing 2 more damage after he dies though so by your 5hp logic he should also have 4 attacks.

Definitely Snip or Deathwing. Both are solid picks.

Rafaam isn’t terrible, even on stats alone, but at some point you’ll lowroll with him and it’ll end your run.

Should see it as output vs dmg it can output. At any point its max dmg is 2 and thus is a 2/x.

Health is how much damage it can take which is 5 and hence 2/5.

Ps: the 2/5 isn’t coin by me but Zalae of Omnislash. I just happen to agree with his assessment.

Basically if you have a 4/5 hitting your face for 5 turn its 20 dmg. While a snip snap on board can only do 10 regardless its state.

There are technically some edge cases where it can do more (if you can give the micro bots Rush (Skater Bot, Rocket Boots, Houndmaster Shaw, etc)) but yeah, I agree that 2/5 is a better way of looking at it than 4/5. Also makes the mana cost slightly more understandable (Echo and Magnetize are of course amazing on top).

Snip snap is the best of those picks. He is a great early, mid, and late game card since he scales with your mama essentially. Not to mention all sorts of magnetic shenanigans that you can adapt to any situation. Extremely flexible and useful.

Deathwing is ok but I’m not a huge fan of it. If your opponent has a bunch of cards and forces you to deathwing you pretty much lost anyway. And by being stuck in your hand all game, that scenario is just more likely to happen. Deathwing saved me and failed to do anything on a 50:50 basis in my experience. He is obviously amazing in late game topdeck wars.

I’d stay away from Rafaam. Way too much rng for consistency.

I realize that that’s a typo but it’s quite easily the most hilarious “yo mom” joke I’ve heard this year

Hahaha wow I didn’t even realize lol

I def would pick snip snap because it is a great card and I think it’s the best option. You can summon a lot of snip snaps because they have echo or you can magnetize snip snap in some mech minion. And when snip snap dies it gives you board presence.

Deathwing is good but his effect cost your entire hand. And if your opponent removes deathwing after is very bad.

Rafaam isn’t very good in arena because his effect is full random so it depends of a good rng which is not consistent.
