I am pretty anti-power creep, but, I love the enthusiasm!
I was just hoping for maybe a card that idk, draws a fire spell, and if you play it, draws another, (maybe at a reduction.)
That would maybe make HP mage playable, which other classes with weapons can play in Wild, but not really mage, just as meme only, once you have leveled where you wish to be.
Or maybe a card that replaces anomalus or flame leviathan or other legends that never see play with something that does, like a legend that gives back spells you have played at a greatly reduced price?
Something like that might make tempo, or burn mage a thing again, which hasnāt been possible in a very long time.
But I am no card designer, and maybe cards like this do not exist for good reasons, they are just the things I wish my class had when I am facing a weapon that has like, 20 damage, and I have spent over ten mana just to get an Hp that deals 4 or 5 damage. lol.
I donāt see anything helping mage while the meta favorite is warrior who not only gets 75 armor until turn 9, but he also gets 45 dmg at the same time.
Perhaps if there was a card that deletes opponentās armor? I may be hallucinating, but wasnāt there such a card once?
Sure there is, platebreaker. I use the card even now, but the problem is once you tech against everything broken in other classes, your deck is terrible.
Wild as far as I know. i think it rotated some time ago.
But its not just armor, or platebreaker.
You have to run mass board removal in Wild for rogue shaman and pirate Warrior.
You have to run ooze for the same decks.
So you see what I mean?
it reaches the point that your deck is purely just tech cards with no real strategy for winning on itās own.
I have been struggling with this for a long time.
The only viable deck i know of in Wild anymore that i can build is quest mage, a deck i wish would just be banned as it limits design space for my class, imo.

I really dislike the deck, and have since it was created.
Time Warp is one of the most unfair cards ever printed to me.
The opponent gets to just sit and watch while he loses.
And itās slow. I am not a fan of really long games.
Time Warp is another card I wish would just be re-imagined or removed, as i think it prevents the opponent from playing at all once it activates.

There are 2 main quests for Mage as far as I know, one is just titled a quest and results in the time warp, unsure what set that was in, and the other is titled as a Quest line type of quest. has the 3 stages to achieve to get the payoff of the big drop that gives you +3 spell dmg the rest of the game for its battlecry. Combo that with some Brann, or copy it with Zola or just bounce it back a few times like that panda or whatever. Im sure you got plenty of copying spells thatāll dup it for you too. Once I had the displeasure in duels for someone spending 2 whole turns playing it and duplicating it and setting up the 2 copies secret when Iād kill it, then the potion that gives them 1/1 copies of their minions combod with trheir passive of end of turn play a spell they played that turn giving them even more 1/1 copies of the thing. I wanna say they had a total of ārest of the game +30+dmgā by that point and hit me with a single 2 cost fire spell that normally deals 2 dmg and gives you another 2 dmg fire spell in hand. It fatal KOs me into oblivion as I couldnt do jack those 2 turns they were doing all that.
Yeah. Time warp is just another dumb card that shuts the game down.
I am a mage player exclusively, and I have never played the deck not even once.
Itās slow, and when it does work it wins in one of the the most irritating ways possible.
That was what duels was for, I crafted some wild cards for that mode. Canāt say I am very pleased with the discission to have it removed in a short time.
