Anyone else playing Pirates in Ranked?

New weekly event quest. Play or destroy 75 pirates. Tried one game of aggro priest in wild, which is one of my favorite decks. Closed Hearthstone and reopened to see I only played 2 pirates even though I won that game. Switched to pirate rogue in wild, a deck I rarely play. Closed and reopened Hearthstone after the win. Progress now 7/75 pirates. I might actually end up ranking up this month lol

Might try for some longer games so I can play more pirates with questline pirate warrior

Dumpster legend is full of Shaman Pirates and DH Pirates.

Play OR destroy - others will play it for me

If I had the new patches, I’d be trying them out. I like pirate decks

You play enough games anyway that you’ll destroy 75 pirates quickly and easily I’m sure. This kinda quest is more meant to motivate people like me to play more games, and it usually works lol

Quest tracking is bugged, it doesn’t always update the quest status when you finish the game. Quitting and reopening the game will give you accurate counts.

And yeah, this quest sucks.

And if you struggle with it, remember that wild is also ranked.

Just play them in the format you don’t care about if you don’t want to risk your rank for pirate play.

Why is “OR” capitalized?

I’m playing a makeshift pirate deck in wild atm specifically to knock this thing out

There are two good pirate decks now. DH and Shaman but especially DH. It’s a very odd deck because you can go from nothing to very high damage out of nowhere but it’s very sensitive to good draws and good mulligans.

i imagine most players are, if only to get the quest done.

Same. So far I’ve found two opponents who “got it” and we just knocked each others pirates until the decks ran dry. If I run into someone who isn’t letting me get my pirates out and playing to obliterate, I concede and move on. Why help them with their quests if they won’t help me? Don’t know why anyone is such a try-hard in silver.

That’s just mean making it ranked. Should have allowed BG’s into that mix.

We can safely say whoever in Blizzard went overboard the other time with the quest requirements is still pushing the same design.

This one was doable but next week you need to play Marin’s treasures. I quess everybody must play ramp druid.

Next week that deck is nerfed, and I predict dead. The meta is both tight and it already had a couple of decks(at least) easily better than ramp druid so even a slight nerf on the deck will just totally obliterate it from being played by the best players.

Playing pirates is painful I took all the pirates out of my deck as soon as i finished it. Dh pirate is the only one with great pirate synergy and it completely relies of the charge tokens to make it work. Pirate shaman is less about pirates and more about never running out of board presence.

Death knight got some interesting pirates but they push deathrattle synergy instead of pirate synergy - i’m lost on that one.

I made a weird deck almost randomly, and it feels playing better than the meta Demon Hunter with Pirates. AAEBAaIHApWgBvTJBg6toASvoAT8pQatpwb8qAazqQbLqQaUvwbqxAatxQaXygabywaW1gaR5gYAAA==

I just went to ranked wild, Picked rogue and filled it with as many cheap pirates as possible. Somehow managed to win a game or two despite just dumping pirate after pirate.

Yeah my deck was almost done the same way. It’s not VERY random because we don’t have that many pirates to choose from that are relatively new and good cards.

It’s funny that it might be a better deck than that weird Pirate Demon Hunter deck that floats around on the top ranks right now because rogue is more consistent.
