Any fun decks out there?

I’m sick and tired of

  • protoss anything, including priest, mage, etc
  • starship anything
  • fyrakk high roll decks, dk and rogue
  • quest warlock
  • otk decks like priest and druid

I’ve been having a bit of fun playing egg warlock around top 100, kind of fun, but God the mirror is disgusting.

So I really like Sleepy Demon Hunter it’s a good counter to Paladin Murloc and it has a good amount of trolling

What’s the list? 20 char

Here you go, if you need an explanation on how to play the deck or how to properly mulligan for your startning hand let me know. The deck is just a delay tactic and then you just annoy them and then beat them on the head.

What a strange list… Is it like the Cliff Dive/Colifero DH (also with Blobs of Tar instead of the old pigs), but without the actual cards in question? :grinning:

PS Speaking of which, yeah, there’ve been a few DH variations, including that one, that qualify for the subject (okay, maybe not the Colifero Clown fiesta, but… also just aggro DH)…

PPS Oh, how could I forget: 'Tired of' is the new 'ridiculous'? :grinning:

I suppose it depends on your definition of fun… I’ll provide some interesting shaman packages / combos… If any sounds fun I can post my deck lists but everything in hearthstone is rather repetitive / gimmicky which I’m not sure is all that fun.

My favorite shaman package is the ‘location’ package consisting of:
nobundu, velen, shudder, umbra

If you want to go even more all in you can use scrapbooking student, astral vigilant, jepetto (for more vigilants)

That will give you about a billion locations that you can then spam whatever you want. I prefer paraglide for mill but you can do nebulas, cast 1000 metero swarms, lava flows, ect.

Next up is colifero:

Fairy tale forest/parrot sanctuary + colifero + (pop up book/first contact/voltaic burst) = a board full of whatever giant minion you want to put in your deck. Obviously make sure non of them have battlecry so they dont mess up fairy tale forest.

The most what just happened combo shaman has:

shudder + beanstalk brute (1 or 2x) into cliff dive summons briarspawn drake + al’akir… I think its like up to 86 damage or something as long as they a minion or two on board.

I also like imbue shaman but that really ends up being cast nebula 12 times and when your opponent is out of gas resummon everything with merithra.

Again if any interest I can post the decklists I use or if anyone finds the ideas fun run with your own deck.

If you play wild, and you know what you are doing, you can have a blast with Secret mage, even today:)
Many players have forgotten how to play around Secrets, and if you get a good draw, the deck crushes a great many decks.

I mean if you want to be like that then the obvious answer to the threads question is no. You’re either fyakking, mana cheating out some other minion/effect turn 5, or stalling out the game for 30 turns by gaining 100 health/armor and removing every board your opponent builds each turn, or playing some hyper scaling aggro deck that hopes to draw well enough to shut down all of the above by turn 4. Either way each of those decks is going to look and play exactly the same which will get stale real fast.

I think egg lock is actually a refreshing change it actually requires cross turn planning. Many people just fail at this even in the top 10, let alone top 100.

Ya unfortunately theres not much place anymore in hearthstone for planning decks thanks to how easy high roll decks are now.

I left this deck out because of the fyrakk hate… but this deck is as easy as playing fyrakk on turn 7 (with coin) or turn 8 and moving onto the next game:

I mean this should be a 10% winrate deck… but its not (at least for me, hopefully it would be in the top 100s) but pretty indicative of how far hearthstone has fallen as an interesting strategy game.

I don’t wish for anything here — it’s not my topic after all, not for me to decide what’s ‘fun’. Just being somewhat meticulous with the TS’s explicitly worded requirements and interpreting them to the letter.

It 's similar with me.
I’m only interested in playing clive dive DH and egglock (and a bit of discover hunter) this month.
It 's a bit weird, just i haven’t played any fyrakk decks since it released.

Murloc Paladin is the most fun deck

Im having so much fun with my own creation for Quest Druid.

I have 55% WR with it. It just takes a bit of learning curve. Focus is to have a sticky board with Khelos egg and Blood petal. Make many copies of Bloodpetal with Elise and etc.

I find it fun to play decks without developer optimization. Imbue/quest priest.

Shaman is fun against the egg meta. I play some asteroid otk deck from Hearthpwn, I’m at ~1000 legend right now and doing ok with it. Super strong against control and better survival tools than otk druid has, granted it’s a bit slower.

EDIT: Oh yeah, you don’t like OTK decks. Maybe play Nebula Shaman and see if that works in this egg meta, I think they run Nobundo now.

Standard Ele Mage is really fun, but I would imagine it’s not strong enough for top tier play.
