Blizzard core values include:
- gameplay first
- commitment to quality
- play nice; play fair
- embracing inner geek
- every voice matters
- thinking globally
- leading responsibly
- learn and grow
Being a company of blizzard’s statue is not easy.
Operations and process can become complex and sometimes misleading.
And many a times, we need to look back to our core values and make a review of how well we done in each area.
It is not easy, as there is pressure to conform to external culture. practices, or even values.
Recent incidents and observations made me ponder. Players vs Dev, Players vs Streamers, Players vs Players…
Many players have voice their opinions, be it positively or negatively. It is a voice.
I believe Dev, Streamers, Forum Mods, etc also have a voice. Behind every voice matters, I believe every individual should have that freedom and confidence to speak what they believe in. (provided it in a respectful, civil and cultured sense)
If the environment does not allow a voice, do we need to start questioning? especially if it is one of the core value…
I believe this speaks out to anyone. Be it a player, a developer, a forum mod, etc, etc.
Do anyone have any words? Think, Speak, Listen
