Why do we have another tavern Brawl where people have to build their own deck? We already has this last week! People with better cards get a huge advantage of this and players who only have a limited number of cards stand no chance. Is this how you want to force us to spend more money on cardpacks? Get rekt by players who play with rare cards every round till you also spend money on cardpacks? Neat <3
Why is there no fair brawl where every players has the same startign chances and access to the same cards? Why do players with more cards always get an advantage? They already have their advanatge in the other playmodes… At least make the few days of brawl fair, please
Im not complaining that it is hard. I beat my opponents within 3 min by using murlocs. Im complaining that it is not fair and not fun. The other brawls were much more fun than this.
I would link it but somehow links are forbidden here. Well…

I wish build a deck brawls gave access to the whole library every time. I agree brawls should be a place to play on an even field. I can understand the frustration for a newer player when it is a build a deck, wild brawl. I feel full access to the library would also give the players a chance to test run cards before crafting them way better than Whizbang does.
No one ever said this bs. I played this game for many years and got about 5000-6000 gameplays (wins) online on youtube. Do you think I only got basic cards? I also got a big advantage over other players who don’t have access to strong and rare cards but I still want a fair game. I want a fair game for all and not a boring tavern brawl where players with better cards mostly win.
Let me get this straight? Your argument is that the brawl isn’t “fair” but you then go on to say that you won your free pack using a murloc deck that won in under 3 mins. Sounds perfectly fair to me unless you think that brawls should never allow players to build their own decks.
As for “fun”, that’s subjective. Just because YOU don’t think something is fun doesn’t mean other people won’t enjoy it. If it’s not fun, do what I do when I don’t like the brawl: win my free pack and don’t play it again.
This was a fairly easy Brawl: I used a ridiculously weak Inner Fire/Divine Spirit deck (I have exactly 0 copies of Shadow Visions for instance), with some changes to profit from reduced costs each turn (including my opponent by running stuff like Mind Control), yet I still won first try. Here’s the deck in case you’re curious:
2x Inner Fire
2x Mind Vision
2x Power Word: Shield
2x Test Subject
2x Divine Spirit
2x Loot Hoarder
2x Novice Engineer
2x Seance
2x Shadow Word: Death
1x Vivid Nightmare
2x Mindgames
2x Mosh’Ogg Enforcer
1x Ysera
2x Mind Control
2x Arcane Giant
2x Grave Horror
Ysera is the very first Legendary I got (well, besides Marin which was given for free): I had it on the first day playing. I started playing either on December 2017 or January 2018 (forgot). Also, it’s by no means necessary, I just posted what I used.
Ehm, lots of people? Ysera is one of the most consistently good (or at least passable) Legendaries from literally the oldest set in Hearthstone. Not to mention that I’m 99.9% sure that Ysera wasn’t crucial to Zerfinity’s game plan and that anyone with the core Commons and Rares could have performed just as well as they did.
I haven’t played much of this brawl, but I managed to destroy my opponents with a cobbled-together Spellstone Shaman deck.
Seriously. Spellstone Shaman.
This deck has a 34% winrate on ladder.
It’s bad.
Yet somehow, I managed to get through this Brawl just fine.
You don’t need a good collection or even a good deck to do well in this Brawl. The key is just finding the synergies in the cards you do own that particularly benefit from cost reductions, and go from there. For most people, the obvious choice was Velen/Maly shenanigans. For others, this doesn’t need to be the case.
I guess these kind of brawls should have unlocked every card for the player of this mode. Its tavern brawl, it should be fun and “crazy”. Hence no idea why all players couldnt have access to all cards.
Though as I said in some earlier thread - its horrible idea from company pov. These brawls are master pieces when it comes down to “pressure” certain players to spend cash. When you see some bloody combo etc. and you like it, you might be inclined to buy packs. When you get obliterated by player using some old or powerful cards you do not own - you might get persuaded by this to buy some packs.
Its 2nd brawl where playes with horrible collection are very limited in their plays. So I am waiting for next week to see if they have really decided to go this way to “motivate” players to spend money.
Maybe there would be another offer to buy a bundle of older cards, or maybe they would add older sets back to a ingame shop but for cash only.
I am really excited(no sarcasm) to find out what would be their bussiness model.
You mean the players who have paid into this game for 5 years so people like you could play for free and whine on the forums about how rough their lives are because they don’t have Ysera? Those players?
I’m not sure if I’m reading this right, but are you saying that Ysera, a card recently power crept OUT of the game (thanks LK), is a power creep card?
