Another mage hate rant

Like i dont know whats with mage, but everything they do is making me not want to play the game…
Its not a mage only issue, but how in earth are there classes, that can gain 100+ armor and yet we have priest that cant even gain health above 30?

Way back when, they wanted that toxic freez mage playstlyle to be gone.
Guess what happened last game, while i watched my opponent gain 100+ armor. Bc watching your big frozzen minions for turn and turns after is so fun an interactive.

I dared to play something new. DR hunter with the the Big doormant worm. I got it up on turn 6 and was never able to attack with it till it got killed at around turn 13 or so. I also had a full board, but he had both the freeze elemental and brewmaster ofc. (Bc playing the stupid colossus is also my favorite thing to experience in the game from mage yay).

is the 92 in your name the amnt of times you had to lose to mage to make this post or

What deck are We discussing? I haven’t seen armor mage for myself.
I personally don’t agree with a mage using armor.
Rather like Deathrattles. I feel like homogenization of classes should stop. I would like to see the deck in action though, to get a feel for what you are complaining about.

Sleet Skater?
Rare · Minion · Whizbang

I’d suggest quitting until the expansion… These turtling stall decks make up the vast majority of hearthstone right now and wont change for another half a month.

Even then they’ll probably stick around as they have low investment win conditions and simplistic gameplay but there will probably be 1 or 2 OTK decks in the new expansion that can keep things in line. At least we can hope.

frost mages do like their armor

Have to love when they use sleet skater on a big number minion not once, but twice, up to 4 times if they have 2

It is accurate to their Wow lore. So it’s not like it’s some weird ability they have.

Beat by mage, running to the forums!

Risk you take when you build giant minions. Sometimes you run into a mage that just happens to be running that minion and profits from your greed. Tough luck. Just be glad they can’t gain that armor and then poly your giant sack of stats. At least not in Standard.

Do you mean mage armor? Wasn’t that only good against spells and not weapons or physical?
I remember ice block in Wow and here of course, but I don’t remember mages having great defense against weapons, etc.

Nope i mean

It has been a long time:) But even that spell wasn’t great, as I recall. You usually had to get away from melee and weapons, if memory serves. Having tons of armor in this game seems like something a warrior should have.

I never played a Mage but from what i remember it was best used in PvP to slow opponents and blink away.

yeah that’s the way I remember too.
Hey does the armor in the mage deck come from the protoss and moonkin cards? How does that work?

Protoss mage does have Shield Battery as a key card.

Making copies of it to cheaply power colossus is pretty common

Yeah I skipped that expansion, so I have never played the deck, or seen it in action. I would love to watch. I am not a fan of armor decks as they tend to be slower than I like, but since it’s mage, I would like to know how it works.

It’s pretty much armor gain, blow up minions to reduce colossus’ mana cost and summon a 3/4 charge, all that repeating until they nuke you

Mall - I believe it’s the protoss package (2 spells that cost 2 mana to gain armor and reduce the next protoss spell ). And then there’s also Sleet Skater that can freeze, gain armor and it’s a mini . If you bounce it back … you see where it’s going.

I don’t play standard so there are cards that I used in my Mage Protoss deck that I don’t believe are in standard (potion of Illusion - giving you 1/1 of your minions and rewind - giving you a spell you’ve already cast) - I don’t believe those cards are available in Standard any more - but I may be incorrect on that.

I’m sorry but this just disqualifies you from being able to complain about anything

Just kidding, armor pumping decks are much more evil. Well, this is just an example of a poorly piloted colossus mage deck which won the game because it faced a non-deck
