Anomaly is wonderful. More please. (Yes, even in standard.)

Title says it all. I love anomaly being everywhere. It is forcing players to actually think about on their feet instead of just googling best decks and how to play them. I was sooooo tired of always going up against the same 5 decks played the same way. At last there is some fun in standard again. Same for wild and twist. Please bring this back once it goes away.

And because of it Cho’gall, Twilight Chieftan now has a permanent home in my decks.

They are terrible when you get the short end.
The good news is you can just quit immediately without even looking at your cards.

I just played 6 games, and 3 of them had the first spell costs 1 less. I am playing a minion deck.

Pretty much says it all. And whenever a situation like this involving this company comes up, they should really think twice. Especially when they already have so much forced ego stoking for themselves in the game “great,” “awesome,” and so on.

They should have added some good ones like

At the start of your turn take 5 damage
Discard a card in your hand and destroy a card in your deck at the end of every turn
All damage spells heal for damage dealt
All cards cost 5 mana

Instead we get boring bland stuff

Just insta resign when you get an anomaly that doesnt work with your deck and which might benefit the deck of the opponent.

In BG the anomalies are at least somewhat neuthral. The hero is the only difference between players.

But in standard they are not neutral. They are biased to favor certain decks and archetypes.

Imagine playing a minion deck against a spell deck and then get the anomaly spells cost 1 less. Or the other way around, minions cost one less (not sure there is such an anomaly).

Rng having this much impact doesnt work for anyone but the die hard fans.
All casuals will run away or adept their playstyle by insta resigning bad combinations of deck/anomaly.

Is this a joke. How is it forcing a player to think regarding anything.

Unless the ‘thinking’ part means actually considering what to mulligan to get an effect on your starting hand, which if that is what you mean. Then Hearthstone has really fallen when it comes to strategic thinking, something like that is expected of you regardless of anomalies or not.

The decks haven’t changed so i don’t understand why you included the ‘same 5 decks’ part, because it still is happening.

It doesn’t force anyone to think about anything. It’s garbage RNG that the game doesn’t need more of, just something Blizzard and a small percentage find “fun” while the rest of us just groan. It’s also how we know that HS lost any level of seriousness when it comes to being an actual card game. Can you imagine if they did this crap in tournaments?

I predict these stupid anomalies wont last. Alot of people are unhappy with them. I swear they just keep finding ways to screw this game up.

Yes i can imagine.

The public would love and the pro players would just play regardless of the amount of whining they do.

And i talking this as someone who did see people reaction on yogg Saron running down a world level tournament.

If anything hearthstone competitive scenario did lose viewers because it cared too much for player opnion when there the important thing is public opnion.

So you have to min Max making a game good to watch with a one good to play.

The fall of competitive hearthstone is blizzard negating it’s gambling nature to please few people while ignoring the big picture of tons of people having fun.

This game has a show factor that trying to ignore is far worse than deal with.

Could cate less for the anomalys, but the new cards have sbifted the meta some which is good.

Totally agree with you!

Anomaly is crap, all other replays here dont use her brain.

wait why are you telling us is bad to make players think?

literally making things up…again.

Nowhere in what you quoted.

Supposedly, they are telling people who don’t like it to play something else for the week. Haven’t seen an official source for that though. If true, no wonder their financials are in trouble. With everything else going on, telling people to go elsewhere, may not just lead to people leaving to for a week, it will lead to another mass exodus of players leaving the game for good.

Do you have to think about a coin toss? A pull of the lever on a slot machine? Roulette? Rolling a d20?

No

Dumb luck dictates the outcome of a Hearthstone match far more often than any other factor. Players have been complaining about this for years. Serious ones anyway

So what do the devs do? Add more of this RNG garbage

But we can always count on you to call every turd Team Five lays a Snickers bar

well to adapt to changes you need to think

complaining about being forced to adapt to sudden changes …doesnt make any sense

you answered to a post about " forcing players to think"with a random rage post you are obviusly agaisnt it

Of course you love it. Your bad at the game and need all the lucky garbage you can get

this is totally true , the game will fall even more with this kind of event .

players can’t take the game seriously after that .

I’m seeing a bunch of salt from people unable to adapt to a new condition of play. I get it, it’s hard having to pivot your play style from what you read on the “how to win” guide, but in the end being able to pivot will make you a better player. And when you step up to the extra challenge you will find your wins much more satisfying. Because you figured out how to win. Not some writer of a guide. You.

Luckily anomalies will be around forever thanks to Cho Gal.
