Why didn’t they make this legendary card having 4 attack and 4 health?? If this card in standard mode is bad, now imagine in wild mode! I conclude that the designer of the MEME: Shaman class, he is the author of this card: Balinda Stonehearth.
Why do they create stupid cards?? Tomorrow at 14:00 pm the rest of the cards will be announced and I bet there won’t be any big spell cards.
Yeah I just had a look.
Alterac is the only set that has 3-4 good big spells that are 7 mana and over. Mage is missing 2 Rares for Voyage reveal and I’m not sure on them being big spells either.
It seems like Big Spell Mage with Balinda probably isn’t going to cut it right now.
What if Balinda was changed to ‘Draw the 2 highest cost spell cards’ instead? It wouldn’t be too OP and still run the risk of having the big spells enter your hand first anyway.

I prefer my 10/10 exactly how it is
actually it would be OP.
Especially with amulet being tradable (so you can guarantee to have 10cost spells in the deck).
The reason being that even outside amulet, the ability to tutor specific things out of your deck is a lot more valuable than random draw.
And that’s why you see that all/most tutor effects come with a cost increase compared to regular draw.
Now, even apart the positives of tutor vs draw, the secondary effect of balinda guaranteing in this case to be a double discount would be also given extra weight since it would be a guarantee mana cheating on the things you want to mana cheat (expensive stuff).

Balinda is actually a good card and makes Amulet Mage playable and winnable.
Most Big Spell synergy cards work with spells that are 5 cost or more, so Balinda keeps them within those parameters.

Parrot battlecry works on the basis of the original cost, but yeah, it’s not Belinda holding that deck back, it’s the weakish early game.
I think the deck is bad because big spells aren’t an archetype, but just support cards, so you can’t build a deck with a lot of them

Unless paladin or shaman.
The whole point is to get her hit with potion of illusion, right? That’s what I do.
Because big spell sinergy is 5 or above
Not really?
Balinda is there as draw and mana cheat on a big stick. It depends on the list you’re running but ideally I’m aiming for a 10/10 Balinda on Turn 6, 2 big dragons on Turn 7, again on Turn 8 with second amulet, and again with Magister at some point. I run Brooms so I can use it with amulets to swing the board. If you run parrots it also lets you play more amulets but I like them with Mask more.

She’s the card that need build around deck, not some card that you can pick and play in any deck. (That was why I choose her to play as my main this set.)
In the right deck, she no less than 7/7 with draw two spell and discount them and she’s come fastest at turn 4. That sound good enough for me.

Ah, yeah, my version runs 6 big spells (rune, amulet and the freeze) plus two potions. Lots of games the potions just get used to replay the 1-3 drops (spell generators and armor draw a spell). But they can hit parrots and Belinda late game to pretty devastating effect.
For the minimal cost of occasionally only getting 4 armor or a 4/10, or 10/4.
