reno jackson was the bread and butter of deckbuilders in the past and it can be cool if it is bringed back into standart or reprinted into a different (but same effect card) .

You are like the 10th person I have encountered this week that spells it “STANDART”. Is there some sort of meme going around I don’t know about?
Back on topic, many people were glad reno jackson rotated. It was/is a highly annoying card to play against. I, personally, didn’t mind it but I remember the day it rotated how many people were as excited to see it go as they were to see patches go.
Reno was great for it’s time when Ladder was overrun and abused by aggro for years. but Kazakus and Raza BROKE the archtype and Reno became the villain everyone hated instead of the hero that saved Standard.
I would love to see Reno decks relevant again in selective card pool on a temporary basis.
this is way we need more formats in the game.
I think its a Eurpoean thing. From what I have heard thats what they call it over there in MTG, but this is unconfirmed and could just be rumour.
As for Reno, not this year. It’s still too soon for Highlander to return imo. Personally I think next year is when they should investigate potentially reintroducing Reno/highlander to standard.
I need a Reno
I’m holding out for a Reno at the end of the line~
He’s gotta be strong
And he’s gotta be fast
And he’s gotta come out before turn nine~
Reno was just one of those “time has come” kind of legendaries. Brought out a new archetype, curbed rampant face decks, let you make decks without needing 2x of any card, was easily accessible, and all of this without being utterly broken (…till Razakus). He served his purpose and retired gracefully into Wild, where he still shows his face once in awhile even now.
He was the ultimate trump in a meta where aggro was far faster than now, and still acts as a safeguard in Wild where fast and powerful decks like KB Rogue exist. With aggro being slower in standard, he could well be too big an anti-aggro tool to be healthy.
I like the guy, which is why I still use him. In Wild.
No. God no. #traumas
Unfortunately however, he is relegatedt to wildt
Yes, God yes. Especially against those players who go eviscerate or kill command to face. PLEASE. They deserve a Reno right in the nuts.
A full heal saved me from traumas more often than it caused them
Edit: say hello to Nozari
No. I don’t play Wild because I hate Reno decks. They’re obnoxious. I don’t understand why players just can’t deal with the fact that I set up for lethal.
Like, why can’t matches just end?
you seem like a very sore loser who cant handle the fact that his deck doesnt beat everyone elses
I love most Reno decks.
They are generally fun to me.
Reading the enemy, playing around so many possible different strategies, techs and burst combos is incredibly engaging, just as the complex value game.
However.
I also think that reno Priest and Mage are obnoxious.
The serious versions, at least.
Still hate DS Rexxar more, though.
Reno was also annoying because of the one-of requirement. Does your opponent have hellfire on 4? Reno on 6? Twist on 8? You often have to assume your opponent doesn’t, which limits decision making during the game. Not to mention that on approaching turn 6, vomiting your hand onto the board is the best “counter” for a reno anyway.
The upcoming bad-reno dragon legendary seems far more fun/fair to match up against.
Oh sure. I sorely lost all the way to rank 3 with a non-Reno non-control deck. But yeah, feel free to tell me I sound like the entitled whiny control player. You’re welcome
Well it’s not Reno but the new legendary paladin dragon comes close but heals both players to full health. I’d say Reno wouldn’t be an ideal card for the game now as not having duplicates in your deck can pry hinder more than help. It’s best kept in wild where it’s still played.
