This combo involving Umbra, Thunderbringer, and Theraane no longer seems to work. I can’t seem to find why, so it may be a bug.
Edit: The bug, since people are lazy, is that Spiritsinger Umbra doesn’t trigger amalgam’s deathrattle when summoned by Thunderbringer.
Because it’s a bug that has been fixed that Umbra kept deathrattles coming from enchantments

Spiritsinger Umbra not the new one. Please watch the video before commenting
Yeah sorry that about the 20 reports seen recently you’re the only one talking about a different Umbra
Amalgam got patched to prevent infinite loops
The video you linked is based on an infinite loop, which is bug exploit
Bug got fixed, not a bug, unless there’s something else that happened in YOUR game that you didn’t link

Yeah, it got patched and said it limits at 30 now. It doesn’t even do one, though? Or is that intended? If I play it and not summon it with Thunderbringer it still works so I feel this is bugged atm.
“Deathrattle can now only do a maximum of 30 effects in a row without player actions.”
This video was made after this patch, I believe.
Can you describe exactly what happens when you do the combo ?
Is the amalgam summoned on board or not ?
If not, is it still in your deck ? That isn’t clear
From what we can see in the old video, there’s a safeguard in the behavior so the amalgam doesn’t actually show all the animations of it going back and forth between deck and board
What I expect to be the intended behavior now is that the amalgam just disappears from the deck, because after 30 cycles it’s programmed to vanish from the game. Since animations seem to be cut of for that specific combo, it should just poof away.
If it just falls flat on the board once and sits there doing nothing, then it doesn’t seem intended.

So I have the combo ready as in the video. Kill the amalgam, and it resummons once as it should with the given deathrattles. After that, nothing happens. Umbra, for some reason, doesn’t trigger it when it’s resummoned. If I kill it and draw it again and then play it myself it seems to kind of work but it seems really inconsisntent.
that sentence shouldn’t even be possible so there’s something not working
I tested the combo myself and
- kinda out of topic but the amalgam did not keep cost reduction when shuffled back int othe deck
- I pulled the combo, destroyed the amalgam, it went back to the deck and nothing happend
- next turn I draw the amalgam and play it, and this time, the combo works and shows me all the animations
- just learned that they changed the integer limit behavior, it now displays the infinity symbol in place of the card’s stats, which is very cool
- It looped exactly 30 times, which is also how many times it needed to loop for the stats to reach integer limit. I still think it stopped because of the loop limit
So the “infinite” loop is definitely still there, as exploitable as it can be, even though some interactions seem a bit inconsistent

Thank you for testing! So to clarify, the interaction between Amalgam summoning itself from the deck and Umbra not triggering the deathrattle upon summon is bugged, or is it that Amalgam isn’t triggering its own deathrattle properly? Or am I just being an idiot lol (very viable option)?
From the game I linked the bug seem to be that the amalgam doesn’t trigger its given deathrattles properly on its first death
I’m guessing that instead of triggering in the order they are given, it first triggers the deathrattles given after it has been summoned, then it triggers the deathrattles “permanently stored”
Makes sense! Thank you for working this out with me haha very niche bug xD
