Hey so I like classic freeze mage in classic mode, however, waiting 9 turns for a sweeper makes me way too anxious. I made this alternate deck of board control that offers multiple ways to obtain victory. I’m sure it can be expanded on and improved. Here it is if you’d like to give it a go
I call this deck Allie & Toni, short for Alexstrasza and Archmage Antonidas.

2 ARCANE EXPLOSION
2 FROSTBOLT
2 ARCANE INTELLECT

1 ARCHMAGE ANTONIDAS
1 FLAMESTRIKE
1 PYROBLAST

1 COLDLIGHT ORACLE
2 AZURE DRAKE
1 ALEXSTRASZA
1 MOUNTAIN GIANT
Its interesting but it runs many different ideas.
An idea to make classic freeze mage a bit faster that has been tried with some succes in the past is to include mana wyrms. Logical cards to skip when you play mana wyrms are then alexstrasza (though this card is probably to strong to skip as its your backup plan incase you dont get the mana wyrm opening) and antonidas, possibly 1 ice barrier.
A very strong opener is mana wyrm coin mirror images which is almost guaranteed to do at least 9 face damage. If you have a loothoarder on 2 then the opponent can already be at 15 hp before he has cleared your board and after that you continue with the classical freeze mage aproach of control/freeze while trying to draw the burn that is needed to finish of the opponent.
Another idea is to abuse iceblock in combination with molten giants to at one point freeze the board while dropping the molten giants in the same turn and then ideally follow up with alex and double giant face for 30 damage.
In the end they are all a bit less strong then the full freeze aproach but they are certainly playable.
Yeah for me I guess it’s when I’m trying to get Alexstrasza out but she costs 9 mana crystals and by the time I’ve made it to that turn the opponent has hammered me down with minion pressure. If I play her that’s all I can do for that turn. They know how the freeze deck plays and always get the jump on me
